Mr Noory,I was apalled at, not only the unproffesional guest, but a show I can only describe as "vile". Do we need to poison the airwaves with the ugly scum of society recounted with such glee by one obsessed with the word 'semen"? Your guest, sir, was someone who obviously lacked any intellegence or education. I thought you were interviewing a local hitman for a loan shark. He was such an *Arse* kisser to a host who I admire with such respect and professionalism in radio. This is a radio show with the power to uplift a troubled nation. This man was not one worthy of C2C.I am not one who usually criticizes you,but this guy was way at the bottom of "Mels hole" in the guest dept.Vile show, simply vile.
I'm sorry, Mr. Bud. Tonight's C2C re-feed deals with the sublime Graham Hancock. While I am sure to find a lot of vileness in that interview (because I doubt whether Noory has ever cracked the spine of any of Hancock's books), I am afraid that I will not be able to help you tonight...
But I am sure that we will have many other opportunities to discuss the vileness-quotient of C2C in the future...

Extra correction: no, Mr. Bud, he is not even interviewing Graham Hancock --- he is interviewing the author of a biography of a mass murderer who may have helped to kill Jimmy Hoffa...
Do you see, Mr. Bud? I am so desperate for quality that I am hearing what I want to hear rather than what I damn well am going to hear! <SIGH>

Philip Carlo was a guest on Ian Punnett's Coast to Coast Live in July, discussing mafia contract killer Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski. I've been sampling the first hour of their interview, and so far Carlo seems quite the opposite of how you described him, mrbud -- professional and knowledgeable, discussing his (admittedly unpleasant) topic not with any unwarranted glee but with a researcher's interest and passion. I should also mention that the word "semen" hasn't come up at all.
Having not heard George's interview last night, I couldn't guess what might've made the difference this time around. Maybe Mr. Carlo was in a naughty mood.

As someone that writes about history, I was also really concerned about that show. THere was no real argument, no real thesis, nothing solid. Only a guest who said, "have you heard about this killer? No. Well he [something horrible, semen, rape, mutilation, etc.]. But that's not nearly as bad as what this other guy did."
To be fair, I thought GN was trying to broaden the discussion and asked some interesting questions, but alas even if you put crap in a gold toilet, it's still crap. The guest was simply a bad guest.

Come again, gpshealy... You said that you are an historian? Enquiring minds want to know what kind of history you write... Oh yes, they do...

Late nineteenth, early twentieth century German History. I'd tell you my dissertation topic, but it is so boring that you would fall to sleep just reading its title. To be honest, I am just holding out hope that when time traveling machines are perfected deep within the bowels of Area 51 that I can elbow my way onto it. Out of purely academic interest, of course.
Ken,The "Iceman" topic with Carlo and Ian was not what I was talking about.HBO did a great show/interview on this cold blooded man and Mr Carlo's Ian show seemed like a summation of what I saw on HBO,like he lifted his info from there.I think Ian could be enthused interviewing a tree stump and make it sound interesting.
I just finished listening to this show from Streamlink. It takes me a few days to get up to speed after downloading all of the weekend shows and then listening to them (at work--hee hee! ) and then getting to the current shows. While the topic was at times horrific and uncomfortable; I didn't think it was something that would make me run screaming out of the room. I will say, however, Ian's show with the Black Dahlia dude was lightyears more interesting.
Did he say, "semen" a lot??? :p

Nope -didnt go screaming from the room,,just didnt like this guy..He was tough to listen to in all manner of speaking... Indeed it was a gruesome subject but I dont think he had the forensic or psychiatric knowledge, education, language skills or (dare I say) any sort of class to make such a presentation on an international radio shoe or to make it informative instead of sensationalistic (is that a word?) I found him as creepy as his subject matter. And do we need this gruesome crap on the airwaves ? Just an opinion, and I did turn him off after a while
