Cheapen Show??

Post by No Dice » 06-09-2007 09:22 PM

Is it just me or doesn't seem to cheapen the show that they advertise for guests on the front page of coast to coast? I mean I would hope that if you feel you are smart and interesting enough to be on coast that you are smart enough to email them with a synopsis of what your area of expertise is. I never remember seeing a banner asking for guests when it was ArtBell.com and he was doing to with alot less staff....

I noticed that also No Dice, tacky in my opinion, no Art never had anything like that on his website. Maybe quality guest don't want to be on Coast during the week.

Second that, No Dice, Shirl -- I saw that and thought, what tha...?? One search on Google will pull up enough potential guests to book years in advance -- they have yet to untap the wealth of teachers and knowledge out there.

Something's up is my guess....

I would love to hear Art interview Dr. Michael Newton....

"When Dr. Michael Newton, a certified Master Hypnotherapist, began regressing his clients back in time to access their memories of former lives, he stumbled onto a discovery of enormous proportions: that it is possible to see into the spirit world through the mind's eye of subjects who are in a hypnotized or superconscious state; and that clients in this altered state were able to tell him what their soul was doing between lives on earth. His book, Journey of Souls, presents ten years of his research and insights to help people understand the purpose behind their life choices, and how and why our soul - and the souls of those we love - lives eternally."

I'm still hoping against hope that ART would contact Stephen King and do an interview with him. It's kinda scary to even write this because if somehow, someway, the other one was able to accomplish it and have Stephen on, I would cry. That would be so terrible to destroy a chance that would have been amazing if Art did a real interview with him. Anyway, that's my dream. :) :)

Patty I don't remember for sure but know Art has talked about wanting to interview Stephen King for years and I believe that King has declined, his reasons I don't have a clue.

Denise Linn -- I think Art had her on a long time ago. She's even better, now!

Yeah, I think this thread is being slobbered over by you-sno-who -- I honestly don't want to give him any ideas either, Patty, cause he's obviously groping for them by the invitation on the C2C home page.

Wow, that's odd Shirley. I wonder why he declined. Assuming that he was actually contacted. I would think the show and Art would be a perfect fit for the kind of stuff Stephen King does. Lord knows Art has done his fair share of ghost story related shows. I just re-read The Shining several months ago and I'd forgotten how terrifying that book really is.

I know that Stephen King is far from reclusive. I just saw him on Conan O'Brien not long ago. He also does radio. I listened to a clip of an interview he did for NPR over at their website.

I think that a show like that would be an instant classic. I still have the rare 5 hour long classic Willie Nelson show.

I agree Space, don't know why he wouldn't be on, and speaking of Willie Nelson, what an amazing interview that was, who knew, I also have that interview, I remember when Art had him on and thinking what does Willie Nelson have to offer, we found out didn't we. He is a very special person.

Steven Quayle is one of my all-time favorite C2C guests. Does anyone know why he is never on any more? Did he make George mad or something?
