I imagine the fact
that so very very little of Siegel's material has been preserved is a fair indicator of how little he's thought of by the show's fan base.
Now, that said, it's just my opinion... but, after listening to Siegel again after all these years, it's not so easy for me to outright dismiss his work - Would the show still be on had he continued as host? Hard to say.
Granted, he's no Art Bell. But then, neither is Noory... in that way, they
are two of a kind. By comparison though, only ONE of the two has made a CAREER out
of not being Art -
Mike was only at it less than ten months, but ten
years is a
long LONG time NOT being many folks' cup of late-night talk tea.
IMHO, so much as there's only one Art Bell? There's only one George Noory.
