Thanks Shirleypal, you're the best. :)

I think my spleen is properly vented now, I'll likely proceed a bit more moderately.

Practically speaking, regardless how many times Angelina Jolie kicks the ass of weightlifters twice her size in the movies, it's still the movies, and it just ain't gonna happen, no matter how much cognitive dissonance one is able to conjure.

I have to disagree. Before I became a truck driver I was an Executive Protection Specialist, and I was very active in Taekwondo. I always dreaded being matched with a woman during a sparing match, because these chicks would just wail on me! Of course, I always held back and just absorbed the punchs and kicks. But don't underestimate the Babes when they're trained and pissed! Plenty of bruises and cracked bones in my encounters.

My Master was a Sadist who always had a slight grin while watching me be a living Punching Bag.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but I'm not talking about the tiny minority of exceptions, and I think you made my point again.

You held back, and it was a training exercise, where they weren't afraid or timid. It's not necessarily a gender thing either, because in a real confrontation most men are timid. They don't want to take the first punch because it's illegal for one thing, and they don't want to make the first strike a killing blow. They won't hit full force, or break a nose, or poke a finger through an eye into the brain, or chop a throat, or bust eardrums.

Women ARE very strong, I've wrestled some, and they can definitely do damage.

But IRL it's not like that. When the stuff hits the fan, bulk, size, aggression and experience matter, and I think men have the advantage.

So your idea of insulting another man is to call him a *female*??? Like to be a female is the worst thing in the world?

What are you going to do with your other foot, you silver-tongued devil?

Of course you do. Someone's got to move the refrigerator and the piano.

We women don't need to out-muscle you. We can just tell you what you want to hear and then quietly arsenic your beer.

Never forget:

She who rules the kitchen rules absolutely. :D

So watch who you insult.

Sh*t, it's deja vu all over again. It appears you think ShirleyPal didn't take me to task well enough, even after I granted her concession.

"So your idea of insulting another man is to call him a *female*???"
Only when it's specifically appropriate. I have many more where that came from. But in this case it was "junior high school female". I know you saw the junior high school part because you quoted it, and taking me out of context fails to strengthen your argument, it exposes the fundamental weakness.

"Like to be a female is the worst thing in the world?"
On the contrary, I'm told it's a pretty good situation, and affirmative action makes it better every day. But it's not so good when you're as hairy as GN, and I don't want to be one. And hey, what woman wants to be a man? I don't know any.

"Someone's got to move the refrigerator and the piano."
You're damn right, and I'm glad to be of service.

"We women don't need to out-muscle you."
Of course not. The astute female will get what she wants from a man without lifting a pinky, and more power to her.

"We can just tell you what you want to hear"
That's called diplomacy, and it's a good strategy for dealing with anyone, isn't it? Just don't make anything up, that would be dishonest. My wife is very honest with me. I think.

"and then quietly arsenic your beer."
Although arsenic is better hidden in wine. But, indeed, history has shown women to be adept poisoners, very adept. In the modern day, however, antifreeze is a MUCH more popular choice with women.

"She who rules the kitchen rules absolutely."
Hear, hear! And the quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach, not that I would ever subscribe to such a stereotypical cliche, because, you know, I'm an enlightened 21st century man, and we know how outmoded and wrong all those old sayings are. Those people in the past were so stupid, what did they know? You must admit, though, a good cook has an advantage over a bad one. After all, who doesn't prefer a friend or mate more skillful than less? More intelligent than less? Well, the chronically insecure perhaps.

"So watch who you insult."
I watched myself carefully insult GN, and nobody else. If you were insulted, you failed to read my explanation, and if you did read it, then you need to look within. There is no need to react so emotionally, it shortcuts logic. :D

The only emotion I posted with was the emotion of a little good natured ribbing. :D

Sometimes it sounds like george tells Linda what to do and I wish she would rip into him on the air.
