The Ode to Monsanto's CEO! - dedicated to R. Gary Patterson

Post by Malaria_Kidd II » 04-27-2017 05:07 AM

This entry is meant to be just like Coast to Coast AM's theme promoting "entertainment" purposes only. You know the topic well, it's Dr. Carl Jung's "synchronicity"!

Since this is dedicated to the late R. Gary Patterson, the Fox Mulder of Rock 'N Roll. You can be sure Gary knew this rock mysteries topic well, that began it's life in music during 1994!

This one is scattered about in two or three other locations at Fantastic Forum. It's just a sad love song. But it can be a whopper of a coincidence/synchronicity when it's given another title. One that fits the planet's most disliked corporation syncing up as an affected subject's lament to it's chief executive officer. Whomever that is from year to year!

Last Saturday night on 4/22/17 Coast to Coast AM's great guest host Lisa Garr interviewed **'Altered Genes, Twisted Truth's" genius author Steven M. Druker. It was SPOOKY! to hear him take apart the brief history of Munsanto's "altered seed's genes"!

http://alteredgenestwistedtruth.com/

In mid October of 2010 yours truly, as the last caller on Friday night's Coast to Coast AM, was mere seconds away from finishing my call mentioning what else this 1994 Division Bell classic from Pink Floyd could easily relate to. Then it became time for UFO Phil, again! :raspberry :ufo:

The Monsanto corporation's "self tested" GMO "enhanced" foods came never labeled "as such" into our American grocery stores in 1996!

"Coming Back to Life" - Pink Floyd - The Division Bell - 1994

Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/fo ... h-effects/
And where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me
While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words
dying to believe in what you've heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted :!: :o
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence :(
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life :!:

I knew the waiting had begun :hourglass (imagine it frowning :( )

Move over GMOs? Monsanto says they are experimenting with gene editing

Dr. Robert Fraley, Monsanto's Chief Scientific Officer says gene editing is a new innovation that could reshape how we eat.
Monsanto (MON), the world’s largest producer of GMO seeds, is betting that a new technology called gene editing may calm consumers unease about eating modified foods.

“I see gene editing very differently [than GMOs] because it’s being used today broadly by pharmaceutical, agricultural companies, universities and hundreds of startup companies -- and I think there is broad support for this science and I think that is going to make a big difference,” Dr. Robert Fraley, chief technology officer for Monsanto, tells FOX Business.

Monsanto announced earlier this month that they are investing heavily in gene editing or CRISPR/Cas9—a genome editing technology developed by Broad institute—that will allow scientists to make changes to a plant’s already-existing DNA without adding any foreign DNA (like GMOs allow).

The late actors Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein and the iconic Boris Karloff as his monster would shake their heads at this "farming science?" like too few of us do.

So; move over Heir Frankenstein? Your modern day competition has a more monstrous reputation than your name ever had out of the early days in Hollywood!

Besides the spooky parallels from "The Floyd" above the theme here is abnormality in food choices and it's far from being paranormal. But paranormal actually means "above normal" and Monsanto is way out of bounds from "normal"! :P I don't know how their CEO and those dedicated employees sleep at night.

Thanks greatly for the super "on topic" pics and captions I've seen for the first time ever :o Riddick! A bit(e) scary, this eating game of chance, eh Wisconsonite? Let's all have some today since we have little choice even as serious food label readers.

Is eating any food a game of chance? Your darned right you know it is :!:

Now have another view of the 'slash" across the capital "M" in a human made crop formation.............

https://twitter.com/MAMLondon

For the third time, AT NIGHT, in two weeks time a crop duster/sprayer pilot was covering the same 60 acres of wheat. As well as two other fields 1 south and 1 SE of the steel plant. I can see that field in the AM daytime and it's wheat! There's no word locally of an army worm infestation that I am aware of.

This link & report dates back to 2014 IT"S STILL ACTIVE! :o

https://prof77.wordpress.com/2014/11/29 ... he-gluten/

Three years back it was in American health news that 25% of US wheat was sprayed with herbicide to shock the wheat, in the green stage JUST before the yellow stage, INTO MAKING MORE GRAIN ON THE PLANT! WTFarce! What mad ag scientist(s) would have dreamed that up as fact? :?

I think 25% is a stretch but I've been occasionally seeing planes do this late May spraying of wheat for 3 years!

PLEASE respond if you are familiar with this farming practice to increase yields or if you have seen this first hand this month in past years. A crop duster's fees cannot be cheap! And this pilot north of here flies at night when the wind is much less or there's no wind at all.

Heck! Doctor Joel Wallach says repeatedly......."No wheat, barley, rye, or oats.", to keep us gluten free. It looks like taking his advice would keep out the gluten and the glyphosate :!: :realmad:

Maybe I'm off topic of the Paranormal theme here but think about it! It's bazaar folks!

In yesterdays e-mail this was opened at 3:00 AM Monday........

Monsanto's Army of Online Bullies

by Jeffrey Smith

There are hundreds, possibly thousands of them—paid to bully, shame, and endlessly argue with anyone posting a comment deriding GMOs or pesticides. And when a high-profile person stands up to Monsanto’s technology, watch out. The trolls swarm in and gang up.

Take Marion Nestle, for example. When a GMO propaganda film called Food Evolution purposely quoted her out of context, she demanded that her 10-second clip be removed. Nestle’s blog was then ambushed with 870 comments by Monsanto’s minions, forcing her to block all comments from her site, Food Politics.

The presence of a troll army was revealed during the on-going lawsuit against Monsanto over the cancer-causing properties of their herbicide Roundup. The lawyers wrote:

“Monsanto even started the aptly-named “Let Nothing Go” program to leave nothing, not even Facebook comments, unanswered; through a series of third parties, it employs individuals who appear to have no connection to the industry, who in turn post positive comments on news articles and Facebook posts, defending Monsanto, its chemicals, and GMOs.”

Scientists Attacked

The legal brief also points out that, “Monsanto quietly funnels money to ‘think tanks’ such as the ‘Genetic Literacy Project’ and the ‘American Council on Science and Health,’ organizations intended to shame scientists . . .”

As a frequent target of these groups, I know well their unethical bullying tactics. And so too do the scientists who discover evidence that GMOs are harmful.

World renowned biologist Arpad Pusztai, for example, was pummeled by the biotech machinery when he accidentally discovered that GMOs caused massive damage to rats in just 10 days. In the late 1990s. he led a team that was designing test protocols to be used by European authorities to evaluate GMO safety. His research, however, revealed that the generic process of creating a GMO caused dangerous and unpredictable side-effects that might already be eroding the health of consumers. Because his shocking discovery could have destroyed the entire GMO industry, they came after Pusztai with far more than just a shaming campaign. Within days, his employer of 35 years terminated his contract. Pusztai’s 20-member team was dismantled. He was silenced with threats of a lawsuit. And the biotech industry and pro-GMO UK government unleashed a campaign to destroy his reputation.

Although Pusztai was the first scientist to undergo this type of industry battering, many others have since been targeted. One told me that these types of attacks have deterred hundreds of other scientists from doing research on GMOs

The online bullies have a similar intimidating effect. Their well-chosen words are sharp and condescending, designed to scare away others from making comments—lest they become the next target.

The folks at the International Fitness Profesionals Association learned this the hard way. After posting what they considered to be a balanced article on GMOs, a troll got wind of it, posted a negative comment on the Pro-GMO FB site “We Love GMOs and Vaccines,” and asked his comrades to also make comments. The trolls swarmed.

They not only challenged the GMO article, they attacked the integrity and reputation of the organization. And of course, the trolls avoided commenting on details about GMOs, since they would quickly lose that argument with anyone familiar with the science. Facts are not their strong point. They prey on emotions.

Standing up to the Bully

Bullying and shaming can traumatize. In schools, online, at work, they have damaged and destroyed lives. It works. That’s why the biotech industry uses them.

Before discussing what to do, the first step is how to feel. The answer: INVINCIBLE!

After reporting for years about Monsanto’s strong-arm tactics, I finally became their target about eight years ago. Rather than feeling hurt or depressed, I felt uplifted. I viewed their baseless attacks as a badge of honor. I was now such a threat to their business dealings around the world, they invested a significant amount of money trying to distort my work and discredit me.

I considered whether I should spend time countering their spin to set the record straight, but soon realized that it was a black hole that would suck up my life. After all, why would I want to write posts to correct the views of the handful of people who wander onto their site, when I could reach millions of others with real information.

And so I smile, shake my head, and don’t even bother to read their posts about me. We’re winning the battle against GMOs and soon these bounty hunters will be hired by the next toxic industry.

That’s right, I said we are TOTALLY WINNING. Mainstream food companies in the US are falling over themselves to remove genetically engineered ingredients in order to boast a Non-GMO label. With 57% of surveyed Americans saying that they are concerned about the health impacts of GMOs, we are now the majority. We have the average American on the right side of this issue.

And that’s why Monsanto has unleashed its online army. It’s a last-ditch attempt to turn the tide.

So, if you get a troll on your case or see one doing their dark dance on someone else’s post, feel GREAT! Let it remind you that our collective work sharing the truth about GMO dangers has been so successful, we are seeing the dying embers of a desperate and failing industry.

And have absolutely no anxiety or concern about any details of their accusations. They will portray themselves as mainstream, pretending to have logic and science on their side. They will appear absolutely sure of themselves. And their colleagues will give them support.

It’s their game. It’s just a game. It means nothing. And by the way, we have become the mainstream in this argument (finally).

So What Do We Do? Strike Back!

Arguing with a professional GMO huckster is hopeless. Forget about it. (Or as my NY colleagues say: fugedabowdit.)

If you are in charge of the website or account, just delete their comments. Don’t waste the time or damage the emotions of your readers. Replace their mindless ramble with a statement like:

We just found a Monsanto troll! That’s right. Monsanto hired and trained an online army to attack anyone who dares to reveal the dangers of GMOs and pesticides like Roundup. Their campaign is called “Let Nothing Go.” So we deleted a post that had all the markings of a troll: It was emotionally bullying or shaming. It used talking points made popular by Monsanto’s PR companies, including myths like GMOs feed the world, increase yield, reduce pesticide use, or are proven safe. And it was clearly uninformed. So it was either posted by a paid troll, or worse yet, some poor person who actually believes and emulates them. Read more about the GMO trolls and GMO dangers in general

If you can’t delete the offending post, here’s a similar type of statement you can post in response:

Looks like we’ve found a Monsanto troll! If you haven’t heard, Monsanto hired and trained an online army to attack anyone who dares to reveal the problems with GMOs and pesticides like Roundup Their campaign is called “Let Nothing Go.” You can decide for yourself if this is one of Monsanto’s minions. The tone of the trolls are typically emotionally bullying or shaming. They claim the high ground, pretending that science is on their side. They often roll out one of the many talking point myths made popular by Monsanto’s PR companies, pretending that GMOs feed the world, increase yield, reduce pesticide use, and are proven safe, etc. And they are clearly uninformed. So either this is a troll, or worse yet, some poor person who actually believes and emulates them. Read more about the GMO trolls and GMO dangers in general.

If they engage you in an online argument (and if they’re a troll, they or their friends will) you can ignore the baseless claims and just use the opportunity to post links to one of the many informative articles that shreds Monsanto’s myths. Find lots of stuff to post at ResponsibleTechnology.org or on our Facebook page. Please subscribe to our newsletter and like our page so we can get you more ammunition—and stories of success.

This is a time to celebrate our victories, but we can’t let up. Let’s nail the coffin shut on this dangerous and irresponsible use of genetic engineering and protect future generations. With life itself at stake, we can withstand the buzzing of a few online gnats.

Safe eating and posting.

Great post MK

Related to RoundUp is glyphosate, which is rapidly becoming clear, is most probably WORSE than RoundUp (if that can be imagined.....). I only just got edumacated on this a few weeks back.......

Glyphosate in Food & Water

Glyphosate-based formulations are the most widely sold and used pesticides globally. Glyphosate is virtually everywhere in the food chain. As a consequence, glyphosate is regularly detected in human urine. At these levels and even below, several converging lines of research in laboratory animals suggest that glyphosate-based herbicides may be endocrine disruptors and alter liver and kidney function.

Glyphosate-based formulations (the most common being Roundup from Monsanto) are the most widely sold and used pesticides globally. They are used on food crops during cultivation, not only to desiccate the crop before harvest (for instance on wheat), but also more intensively during the cultivation of the 80% of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are modified to tolerate Roundup. They are also used in parks, gardens, along roads and railway tracks, and in cemeteries. Since glyphosate’s main mode of action in plants is absent in animals, it is considered to be one of the safest pesticides – even safer than table salt, according to Monsanto. As a consequence, the presence of glyphosate is tolerated at high levels in food and tap water. After more than 30 years of a “don’t look, don’t see” policy on glyphosate’s secondary side effects, many studies in recent years have suggested that glyphosate has worrying health effects at levels regularly detected in food an tap water.

Human contamination and food surveys

The cultivation of Roundup Ready GMOs has considerably increased food contamination by glyphosate. Roundup Ready plants do not degrade glyphosate but tolerate it, so they accumulate Roundup residues during their growth. As a consequence, glyphosate has among the highest maximum residue limits for pesticides, with up to 500,000 parts per billion (ppb, see box 1) authorized in some GM feed. A recent study on 10 batches of GM soybeans from Iowa found glyphosate at an average concentration of 11,900 ppb (maximum of 20,100 ppb) [1]. According to Monsanto, residues levels of up to 5,600 ppb in GM soy represent “extreme levels” [2]. Since cattle are mostly fed Roundup Ready soybeans, contamination with extreme levels of glyphosate could have serious consequences on cattle health. In a study on Danish dairy cows [3], elevated glyphosate urinary levels have been linked to a marked increase in biomarkers indicative of damage to liver and kidney function. Another recent study found glyphosate in the organs of piglets born with birth defects [4]. In this case, the highest concentrations were measured in lungs (0.4-80 ppb), heart (0.15-80 ppb), and kidneys (0.1-38 ppb). This strongly suggests bioaccumulation of glyphosate in internal organs, which is contrary to the common belief of rapid elimination.

Permitted levels in tap water reach 700 ppb in USA, which is particularly high for a pesticide. Among 85 tap water samples analyzed by Moms Across America and Sustainable Pulse [5], glyphosate was found in 35 cases at levels up to 0.3 ppb. Glyphosate contamination in food appears common. UK government testing for glyphosate residues in bread showed frequent glyphosate contamination, sometimes exceeding 500 ppb in wholemeal bread [6]. The global contamination is certainly underestimated. Analysis of 69 honey samples from different origins revealed glyphosate at unexpectedly high levels, around 64 ppb [7]. Some samples were contaminated with 163 ppb, a concentration neurotoxic to honeybees. A recent analysis even documented the presence of glyphosate in Froot Loops at a level of 120 ppb [8].

kbot, the Pink Floyd fan like me and we're always searching for others here to come into the light with us! :D Is anybody..........out there :!:

Thanks for that scary report and more and more the " Bad M-G" is in MSM, on line, and in the new skimpier newspapers! But home sales of G are not so much! The odd thing about this clear golden soup is the need of repeated applications throughout the Summer months. You spray, it takes nye a week to turn brown. Not counting the "root death week" three plus weeks later you spray again, then you repeat as the green always wins! I think it's a weird process kobot!

No one mentions that, not even Jeffery Smith............ :?

P.S. A sad herbicide dispute over Dicamba is making the ag headlines down South! Two agchem giants are making it, BSAF and Munsanto!

Note this: If farmer's who mass grow "in house" chickens don't have non GMO grain feeds available; enjoy your favorite bird today because eventually the rightly "spooked" label readers will win out! If that happens we'll be raising our own roosters and hens.

The more I learn about this, the more I think back on all the studies where I've read that scientists are stumped by the dramatic rise in a range of illnesses/ conditions.

Now I know why.

An interesting article:

This dicey topic is moving along nicely thanks to Riddick, kbot and our collective fond memories of the Fox Mulder of Rock 'N Roll, Gary Patterson's knowledge of all it's legendary mysteries!

kbot,

 Here's the whole nine yards in a list that looks longer than 65 notations.

http://responsibletechnology.org/gmo-ed ... /section1/

If mice and rabbits are the only critters tested in those many lines. North America's wild four legged creatures plus waterfowl, of which many feed on dropped grain like corn or soybeans, don't have tumors like the mice do. These days rural America's wildlife don't have but little choices other than GMO waste grains.

The waste grain scavengers like field mice, song birds, game birds, deer, wild ducks and geese never get to be part of any lab study on the affects of Bt corn and the herbicides used to make it weed free for bigger yields. :?

 We'll wait for the hunters to raise their red flags and thankfully all those flags are still at the bottom of the flag pole.

I'm no fan of this new farm technology for feeding the world  but the animals tested are very limited. At least humans are now part of the lab experiments more and more proving as always we are what we eat!

MK II
