Regardless of your personal affection for John Lear, the man does owe the world a follow-up statement.

The man twice went on international radio (C2C) and told millions of people that aliens were real, along with a great deal of alien mythology and dogma. This was said with great conviction.

If suddenly he realizes that he has been duped and that every single thing he told millions of people on C2C was wrong, then a personal sense of integrity would require that he call Art Bell up and say "Art, I need to make a short statement on C2C. I need to set the record straight and release all those people who may be running around spreading my previous belief system to others and setting up their own paradigm to match".

Then Art could have him on the first hour, allowing him to read a statement or calmly discuss his new beliefs.

If I went on the air (just an example) claiming that God was a Mormon and that the Mormon faith was the only truth, and later realized this was totally wrong, I would certainly feel compelled to share that later revelation with the same audience.

Posting a little recant on a forum like FF is not an appropriate balancing of the score from a karmic viewpoint.

I'd be willing to bet John was threatened in some way. Many UFO related cases are genuine and envolve interactions with the environment, picked up on radar, sighted by pilots and thousands of others. This secret has been kept because the majority do not want to believe. The people in my opinion need a serious scientific group well funded
to get answers on this subject. The CIA,NSA,FBI all lied about UFO's saying we have nothing, in court however, pages and pages showed up blackened out and protected under national security, how convenient.Makes one really wonder doesn't it.

Let's see...Whitley Strieber is on the internet/air voicing alien related viewpoints each week. Budd Hopkins continues the exhausting serious work of dealing with abduction cases, along with David Jacobs. Stanton Friedman continues the hard work of documenting the government coverup along with Stephen Greer. Publishers continue to reprint books by Fowler on abduction cases. Hundreds of websites spin many tales about aliens, ufo's, and abductions, Jim Marrs investigates ufo cases from the past and today, Roger Leir documents alien implant removals, Simms (the alien hunter) exposes alien agendas, on and on the "army" goes of career investigators, including Linda M. Howe and her obsession with every crazy loon with a story to spin.

Yet some guy (John) who tells wacky tales about civilization on Venus, soul snatchers on the moon, dangers of going to the light after death, and other truly loony tunes stuff right out of some comic book IS THREATENED TO SHUT UP?

It is to laugh. Come on people. Westward Ho calling planet earth.

Capt Lear,
I realize that at a time like this there are no words that can fully express the sentiment of all parties involved with this forum or the millions of listeners and believers that have heard and believed all that you have brought to us in the terms of new knowledge and information on the subjects that you have studied for so very long.
As one of the many who still believe I can only speculate as to why you have made this drastic turn in your life and say I am deeply saddened.
With that said I can only wish you God speed and hope that you will some day be able to enlighten us once again in this format as well as the many others that you have shared your wisdom with us.
