Real men buy REAL Christmas trees!!!

Went out today and bought us a REAL Christmas tree! A California Redwood! Gonna have the biggest tree in the neighborhood in about 40 years....



It's actually alive in the container right now. After Christmas we will plant it outside next to the other three former Christmas trees. We got some of those first three trees when my sons were young. Now one of them must be over 40 feet tall. (The tree, not my son.)

Any of you ever get a living tree for Christmas?

I think REAL TREES are better! (Or they used to be)

Trees do not smell like the nice PINEY smell they used to and its sad....... (They must be using garbage spray on them now (WHICH IS NO SURPRISE))

It does make you wonder why they don't smell anymore.

Sort of like the way the Hostess cupcakes no longer resemble the size of years past - they are about the size of rum balls now - and same with those snowballs with the marshmallow and coconut.
