Budster is the outside cat. He can be a rough character when he wants to be. All 20+ pounds of him. But he's usually just a big softy.
He was a stray that showed up at the house 5-6 years ago. He had a collar but no contact information so we just let him hang around. We moved 3 years ago and were worried that he would not stay around so we decided to keep him in the house for a few days so he could "adjust". When he arrived at the new house he seemed to know his way around, he walked straight to the bedroom which is now my "office" and laid down. A neighbor told us that the people that lived here about 6 years ago had a cat that looked just like him.
Well, he still comes to my "office" whenever he comes in the house and has never ran away. Is it the same cat? I don't know but I suppose it's possible, this house in only about a mile or so from the other one.

We have one of each... dead-ringers. We have Katie, a female S'mese, a male white one (Big White Boy), and a female Budster we call Esperanza. I'm telling you, they are true dead-ringers.
Don'tcha just love'em? Can't live WITH 'em, can't live without 'em.
And BTW, the phrase I heard was "staff..." Cats have STAFF...

Y' know? The eyes... he sort of LOOKS like Spock! He's really cute... we DON'T have one like him. I had a couple who lived to be 18; they've been gone for many years, and I still think fondly of them, and very often. They were more like guard dogs than cats. They could always pick my friends better than I could...
