Yah, well - okay, Texas lost
...but they played the game with a lot more class and drive. To me, the real story of the game was how the freshman quarterback for Texas and that great Texas defense brought the score up from 6/24 to 21/24 with 6 minutes to go in the game.
As with many freshmen quarterbacks, they usually end up defeating themselves - mostly through inexperience and ill-advised moves. heh.
Alabama showed no class at all in running up the score. Probably to give the impression from the stats they had played a better game than they did. Most of their scoring came from mistakes by the Longhorns with the freshman quarterback.
Alabama won. And so it goes...

We in Austin sure wanted the Horns to win but it just wasnt in the cards this time. We are very proud of Gilbert who stepped up. He is a graduate of Travis High School. My grand-daughter graduated from THS last year. They just won state for the 3rd year in a row. It's alot like Friday Night Lights around Lakeway Texas.
