Halloween Candy

I don't buy candy for trick or treaters anymore. Why? It's been years in my neck of the woods since any come by. The city chamber of commerce holds events where young'uns can get their goodies and parents can have peace of mind said young'uns won't wind up in the ER; Not like Halloweens of old but it IS a scary world KWIM?

Don't get me wrong - just 'cause I don't get trick or treaters doesn't mean I don't buy Halloween candy! It's my time of year to put waistline watching on hold while there's deals going on. Kit Kat, Pay Day and Mounds I go for more than anything else - Life's too short not to indulge a bit; 'course, absent parents self discipline enters in -

At any age, it's best not to overdo holidays y'know? Having eyes bigger than the tummy can lead to the ER too!
