"Imminent Collapse": Oregon's Pot Glut Drives Prices Even Lower

"The Great Weed Fiasco"

All my pot growing /smoking friends are more than likely "Turning in Their Graves" (yup, most of "em DeCeased and likely ghosts somewhere, 'cause they forgot about "Going into the Light") :D Their great dream of legal weed, did not include, the glut. In their day they made a lot of money, before the cartells moved in . Being legal is not always ,good for business!?

"Imminent Collapse": Oregon's Pot Glut Drives Prices Even Lower

Approximately three years after Oregon lawmakers signed a recreational cannabis law, the state is now experiencing a massive glut in its marijuana supply, collapsing prices and putting dozens of the industry’s licensed growers and retailers on borderline bankruptcy.

For the second year in a row, cannabis farmers harvested more than 2.5 million pounds of pot in October. Of that, the so-called wet harvest, 1.3 million in usable marijuana was logged into the Oregon Liquor Control Commission’s cannabis tracking system as of December.

The state of about 4 million people harvested a half pound of marijuana per every resident, which raises concern that there are too many growers. According to government data, there are 1,107 licensed active producers and another 900 producers seeking licenses from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC).

If there's an overabundance of pot on the market? Do like other crop growers have done to drive prices back up. Dispose of the excess... Roll it into the biggest doobie in history and light it up.

That is, if it's OK with the authorities. Don't wanna be busted for not having a burning permit.

Typical Democrat government, everything they touch, they destroy. Greed sets in and they destroy the "Golden Egg" instead of managing it. Wonder how many "Growers" greased the palm of their Democrat Friends, only to find out that they helped in putting them selves out of business. Theare too many Drug Cartel's waiting in the wings, to help out with "Supply and Demand" and They do know how to take care of Competition!

Aw shucks! Predictable last place hold out on legal weed Indiana, will never enact "dobie" legalisation now after this news of a pot glut!

North Korea's never made it illegal from their day one! Mind control over dulled down minds is easy! :coolhat:

Haunting the mortal world for an indefinite period has to be stressful, who's to say a ghost wouldn't enjoy smoking the occasional bowl at the end of a long night? FULL STORY
