Why Conservative Catholics Think Pope Francis Is A Fraud

Post by Riddick » 03-17-2017 08:36 PM

It's been four years since Pope Francis kicked off one of the most striking papacies in memory. Within the Catholic world, sadly divided into warring political camps, he is seen as a hero by progressive Catholics and a scourge of conservatives.

Why do so many conservatives dislike Pope Francis? In many cases, because he makes noises they dislike.

Francis has had harsh words against globalized capitalism, has written a major encyclical on the environment, and has been a major supporter of migrants in the crisis seizing Europe. In all these controversies, he actually hasn't strayed too far from Catholic orthodoxy.

But the most charitable version of the conservative critique, which is not unjustified, is that his tone and emphasis make him sound like a straightforward progressive, and risks identifying the Magisterium of the Church with the progressive left.

Adviser to Pope Francis Praises Karl Marx, Claims No Link to Communist Atrocities

Post by Riddick » 05-05-2018 08:52 AM

Cardinal Reinhard Marx, head of the German Bishop's Conference and among the nine closest advisers to Pope Francis, applauded the teachings of Communist Karl Marx, whose 200th birthday occurs on May 5, claiming that the Communist Manifesto "impressed" him, helped to shape Catholic social doctrine, and was in no way responsible for the Communist atrocities and class-genocide committed by Marx's followers over the last 100-plus years.

Despite the Catholic Church's teaching against Communism, a utopian scheme that was Karl Marx's sole objective in life, Cardinal Reinhard Marx told the magazine Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszitung, as translated and reported in Katholisch.de, that the Communist Manifesto "impressed" him and that "without Karl Marx there would be no Catholic social teaching."

The German cardinal criticized capitalism, claiming there are "enormous social inequalities and ecological damage that capitalist dynamics are answerable to," and adding that any improvements are "not an achievement of capitalism but the result of a struggle against these excesses." Communist China and the predominantly socialist India are two of the most polluted countries in the world, according to the World Health Organization; the United States and Western Europe are among the least polluted nations in the world.

Thanks to Karl Marx, said the Cardinal, the world knows that the "market is not as innocent as it appears in the textbook of economists, behind which are powerful interests."

As for the Communist atrocities and class-genocide committed by Karl Marx's disciples, such as Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Castro, Cardinal Marx told the magazine that there was no "direct connection" between Karl Marx and those crimes. There is "totalitarian" thought in Marx's work, but you can't draw a clear line from Marx to the Gulag, said the cardinal, as reported in Katholisch.de.

As for Karl Marx's May 5 birthday, Cardinal Reinhard Marx said there was no reason for him "as a Catholic bishop" to celebrate it, but it is something "we should commemorate."

It is no secret that Pope Francis is of the Communist Ideology . The Catholic Church has become no better than CNN and other main street media , the Obamie administration, and the likes of George Soros. Only the ignorant and the fearful dare not call the Pig what it is and no amount of lipstick can make it any different. The people are like the Venezuelans ,as they drop into spiritual AND economical Hell, as they continue to follow the Human Demons that only wish to destroy them. Just, because, that's what "Sheeple" do.

Two popes share a Vatican stage and show only one is in charge

VATICAN CITY — A Vatican ceremony June 28 featuring a rare joint appearance by Pope Francis and his predecessor seemed aimed at tamping down speculation about the unusual circumstance of having two living popes.

In recent weeks debate has erupted over whether there are two popes sharing authority in the church, or whether Francis is the sole successor of St. Peter.

During an in-flight press conference on his return to Rome on June 26 from a trip to Armenia, Francis was asked about that controversy and he dismissed it. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is "clearly" a retired pope, Francis said, and "there is one single pope."

Francis also recounted how friendly they are and how Benedict has shooed away conservative supporters who come complaining about Francis' more reformist papacy.

Benedict "is the man that protects my shoulders and back with his prayer," Francis said.

Benedict seemed to reinforce that dynamic at Tuesday's event marking 65 years since Joseph Ratzinger -- who took the name Benedict on his election as pope in 2005 -- was ordained a priest in Bavaria.

"Thanks above all to you, Holy Father! Your kindness, from the first moment of the election, in each moment of my life here, really moves me inside," said the 89-year-old Benedict to an audience made up largely of senior churchmen in the Roman Curia.

"More than in the Vatican Gardens, with their beauty, your kindness is the place where I live: I feel protected," he added.

Benedict also offered an endorsement of the course Francis has charted for the church -- a course that some traditionalists say focuses too much on leniency.

"We hope that you can go forward with all of us on this path of divine mercy, showing us the path of Jesus toward God," said the retired pope, who stood without assistance while making impromptu remarks.

Benedict, dressed in white like Francis, was clearly frail but his appearance put to rest rumors that he was in failing health and approaching death.

It has been more than three years since Benedict shocked the world by announcing his resignation from the papacy -- the first pope in more than 600 years to do so.

His ongoing presence at the Vatican, living a secluded life within the walls of the city-state, has prompted speculation that Benedict may still wield power over Catholic Church decision-making.

But in the rare moments both Benedict and Francis have appeared together, they have shown a united front, with the current pontiff praising his predecessor.

Speaking on Tuesday, Francis referred to his "dear brother" Benedict and celebrated his contribution to the Catholic Church.

"Holiness, you continue to serve the church, you do not cease really contributing with vigor and wisdom to its growth," Francis said.

The pope concluded his speech by embracing Benedict and chatting for a few moments before the duo returned to their respective throne like chairs in the same marble hall where Benedict announced his intention to retire.

A Communist Pope? An interview with author George Neumayr

George Neumayr: He tends to speak of communism in benign terms. He told the Italian press that he wasn't "offended" if people call him a communist since he has “met many Marxists in my life who are good people." Another time he said, "I must say that communists have stolen our flag," because "the flag of the poor is Christian." Past popes, who recognized the power of communism to enslave the poor, would have found such comments very puzzling.

A very good article

There's an expression Doka, which I am fairly sure you've heard: "By your works, you shall know them.....". Originally it was uttered to assist people in identifying evil - don't go by words alone, but assess actions as well. It can be said too that Christianity, whether the organized Catholic form or the various Protestant denominations have committed evil in this world: no one is denying that and anyone who does is a fool to do so.

All that being said, I wonder how much praise would be heaped upon these celebrities who are hardly paragons of religious devotion if they were to parody Islam?

For example Sarah Jessica Parker "wore" a hat containing the singularly Catholic nativity scene inside the "hat". I wonder how Muslims would feel about a celebrity wearing an image of even better, sculpture of Mohammed?

The kicker is, NOT ONE of these celebrities practice Christianity, and many have already made a living actively mocking Christian beliefs. So I guess on some level we shouldn't be surprised. That Cardinal Dolan attended and approved just lowers my perception of him, and well, the Pope is, to me, "not John Paul II....."

What you say is true Kbot, but in my opinion it is so much more than mere "political hypocrisy" . The fact that the Evil has been unleashed on the people in such a force as not seen before! Or by us, now living. Take a look at the bigger picture.

The Lefts push for the NWO and by their actions they will never give up until they get what they want. All under one government, no borders of countries, no countries all, world and people the same. No free thought.

The The Muslim Caliphate All under one government, no borders of countries, no countries all, world and people all the same. No free thought. And Sharia Law, so you won't miss out on having a god of some sort.

The Communist Pope, All under one government, no borders of countries, no countries all, world and people all the same. No free thought.

Their Ideologies may differ a bit but their "End results" are the same.........Total power, Group Think, or destruction. Just take a listen to the Main Street Media, they spew hate and come undone if a subject regarding about anything that does not meet the "Group Think" approval standards. Try suggesting to a "GroupThink" liberal, that there might be a "different" way of doing political stuff, or any thing for that matter and stand back, while they vomit hate all over you.

Welcome to your New World. I see no help coming in our near future to help humans save them from themselves. That is what is New, with with the scheme of things in our current events. The Soul light is dimming fast.

I think perhaps this also belongs under the topic of Total Control: New Measures Toward Global Totalitarianism.

For my self, I will continue with my struggle in knowing right from wrong, sounds easy but it is difficult at best, after all I am just a human among humans, but my goal is and always will be to be Free of this beautiful, but deadly soul crushing world. It takes discipline(self control) and desire and to do no harm. Never have been good at "GroupThink" and not going to start now!

Have to agree with you Doka. Recently we found out that a number of Catholic churches are going to be closed around here. This is a trend that started a few years back with no signs of slowing any time soon. People just don't go to church around here. There is a church located across the street form the hospital where I work - there's been a lot of damage due to leaks in the roof. Estimates are $13.5 million to fix everything. The church was built by French-Canadians who came here over a century ago, and at first the reason for not making repairs is that the parish needed special lifts from Quebec to be brought down here, but now it's far work. Last year the parish had no weddings and only about 100 families support the parish - at one time it was thousands....... World is spiraling out of control
