HBO Host Slams AG's 'Cult Of Catholicism'

Post by Riddick » 05-19-2019 08:51 PM

On Friday’s edition of Real Time, host Bill Maher concluded his satirical segment “New Rules” by taking a shot at Attorney General Bill Barr: “[l]f you look like you’ve got a stick up your ass, you’ve got a stick up your ass.”

When trying to explain “[w]hat happened to Bill Barr,” Maher declared “In 1950, he was born into a strange cult and he’s never been able to leave. It’s called Catholicism.”

Describing Barr as “[j]ust the latest in a long line of Republican Catholic moralizers,” Maher mocked Barr for trashing the sexual revolution and the drug culture. Maher went on to attack the “creepy sub-strain of Catholic conservatives” including Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Rick Santorum, Pat Buchanan, and Bill Bennett.

Maher also complained while the country is only 21 percent Catholic, the Supreme Court is 67 percent Catholic before taking a shot at “Clarence Thomas and his batsh!t wife Ginni.” For the record, his math doesn’t add up. 5 out of 9 does not equal 67%.

Maher also mocked late SC Justice Antonin Scalia for once writing “if it were up to me, I would put in jail every sandal-wearing, scruffy-bearded weirdo who burns the American flag.” After sarcastically declaring “we can never trust a ‘sandal-wearing, scruffy-bearded weirdo,’” Maher put a picture of Jesus Christ up on the screen.

Maher concluded his closing monologue by delivering a message to the Catholic Church and the conservatives he trashed, accompanied by a pornographic picture: “[T]here was a sexual revolution and you lost. Now, stop bitching about it.”

It seems like Maher and progressives across America want to silence those who still hold true to the traditional values that the left finds archaic. Maher has apparently concluded that if all else fails, he can mock them mercilessly.

Sad isn't it. !? This "Evil" that so many have embraced is more than likely to leave us in ashes. Our spiritual faith is as good and as emotionally strong as we are. I can only say, speaking for my self, I have Never Put all my faith on any one human driven plan , be it religion, politics etc. And It Does Matter What We believe. We become what are beliefs are. If we wear them too tight, they will strangle us. There is an inner "Flow" that we can find with-in ourselves, so even with great change we do not break , more apt to get through, the "what-ever".

Maybe it's just me, but, I think we may have a lot more "What-Ever" to get through. :?
