Crunchers Break Room...

Post by Keith L Dick » 03-25-2006 03:14 AM

Okay I'm totally Pooped from Tweaking this machine... No more I can do unless I go Water Cooling or Liquid Hydrogen, or YODA uses the Force and turns it into 1,000's of computers...

hahahaha...

I was thinking it would be kinda fun to have a Sticky Thread *Crunchers Break Room* where everyone could sit back and just talk about whatever, whenever they could and it wouldn't have to be Seti related, but it would be for the Team Art Bell members...

I know there are others places at FF for this and hardly any team members ever show up here, but when I joined Team Art Bell I always thought of it as a *Team*...

Just my ramblings after a week of working on this Beast...

Cheers,

Keith

Anything that might get Team Members more active here is good with me :)

We'd prolly have to get TAB to email all the users to let them know it's here...

Before a bunch of others left and started a new team we used to have a fairly active forum... Not sure if we could get it going again or not..

What happened? Why did they leave? What new team? What kind of stuff did everyone like to talk about?

Don't remember what team name they chose but I remember they still posted on the FF Forums alot... I was still living in L.A. when that happened...

Not sure if TAB was around then and would remember or not...

Well, since we are all just sitting around on break, anybody ever look at the top computers at SETI? The top five are Powermacs and then there are a few Pentium D's. The Pentium D is affordable but when I looked at the top one there, for Xaak, his results look a little weird. Lots of pink. Makes you wonder what his rac would be if he didn't have so many no replies and client errors.

Nope never looked at any of that stuff...

I have about 3-Pinks I think...

I used to be a Pentium guy ever since my first machine but these days for Gaming, Seti & Photoshop for me AMD is just fine and alot cheaper... :D

That's one smoking machine

My little crunchers are going to be in for a short rest here if I can't get some more work from Seti soon. Its o.k. they can use the break :)

I'm running a AMD x2 4400+ dual core 1-Gig RAM and an Optimized Seti Client...

it's plenty for me... hehe :D

Looks like we're not getting any work today and if Seti does it's usually back up tomorrow we may not get work until later Wednsday night... :(

While your waiting for units to work on you can check out this short movie about calling a *Tech Support Line*...

This is pretty funny and a bit long...

Call Center Movie

You need Flash 8 I think it says below the movie....
