I can tell you this .....If any animal was slaughtered in this fashion in an American slaughter house, they would be in jail and PETA, would become unhinged!

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau greeted Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice (September 13, 2016), emphasizing that days like these remind Canadian their values and that “diversity is Canada’s greatest strength.” Eid al-Adha was portrayed by Trudeau as an expression of forgiveness, compassion and celebration.
Like Trudeau, other Canadian politicians and media outlets focused on the festivity of Eid al-Adha ignoring the inconvenient and troubling facts related to this Islamic holiday.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to Allah’s command, before Allah then intervened sending his angel Jibra’il to inform him that his sacrifice has already been accepted. Islam regards all prophets, including Jesus, as Muslims.
During Eid al-Adha Muslims slaughter animals (goat, sheep, cow, bull, buffalo or camel) to seek Allah’s pleasure and reward by consuming the meat and sharing it with others. The sacrifice is called Qurbani.
Islamic Society of Toronto – Masjid Darus Salaam explains the virtues of Qurbani (slaughtering animals during Eid al-Adha):
“Qurbani is about: Love for Allah in contrast to love of self-obedience, Loyalty to Allah in preference to loyalty to the family, Faith versus emotion, Struggle as opposed to pleasure…
“Qurbani is an annual reaffirmation of our pledge to Allah, a pledge that: “Verily my prayer, my sacrifices, my life and my death are surrendered to Allah; the Rabb of the worlds.”
“Eid-ul-Adha reverberates with the cries of surrender, submission, and sacrifice. It is a grim reminder that life is about action, struggle, and endurance.”
