"But if the natural rate of decomposition can be reduced from 400 years to a mere few months, then these fungi could soon be taking over the world."

Hot dog Doka! That's a winner in a losing situation. There's the possibility of developing mushroom bricks too for building purposes thanks to Yale U.!

"The meek shall inherit the earth." I think that's in the King James version of the Bible!

So I do hope we are still around to dine on them. Just today coincidentally Doka I was going musharoon huntin' for the local morels! 🍄🍄

Many thanks for a post on the bright side!🌼🌺

I just found your fresh post and now I'm going to the woods for sure. You talked me out of the house! :D

Donate now for a bracelet made out of plastics removed by fishermen paid by the lb! Just like their fishing once paid them. World wide donations from the sales of bracelets do it now.

I just saw their ad on Fox News Doka. I hope everyone bumping this thread sees it! 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌎🌏🌍

At least we would have to admit it's a good recovery plan on film for proof that's better than sitting on our collective clean hands. I like it! :D

Purchasing any plastic needs a special tax because as users we don't pay a dime towards recovery of wayward poly somethings litter!

Climate Crisis? Four Major Metrics That Say Otherwise

Post by Riddick » 04-11-2019 12:56 PM

Edited & Excerpted from Joe Bastardi's full article (with examples):

If you learned something when you were young and then you later saw it happening in front of you, would you not at least question the ideas that say it is the result of something different? Is it unreasonable to do so? Why are the “no more snow” cries we heard back in 2000 not robustly questioned?

Because climatologists are not exposed to forecast verification, it has led to a bold initiative that simply pushes an issue because no one will question it. The assumption, of course, is everyone is truly searching for the right answer. But what if the missive being pushed is not unlike using the fruit of a poisoned tree, wherein the means justify the ends? What if the ends are not at all what they are purported to be?

From the evidence I have seen, not only is the cause of warming questionable but the implied negative impacts are also questionable, because there are factual examples of the opposite happening. In the debate over the fate of the planet, where one side is always pushing hysteria, the weather is plainly not cooperating with the missive.

If a catastrophe that is driving children to sue the government is actually occurring, why are there major metrics opposite of what is being claimed? I am not trying to be mean and nasty. That is not my mission. My mission in writing a piece like this is to show what I am looking at and why I question what I am being told.

Group think, I think, I think, I think, I hope not! :coolhat: I'm still going back to finish Riddick's post/video....... Over POTUS # 44's 8 years I seldom heard a speech where he did not mention cc. He'd work it in somehow!

 CAUTION: People are blown up into a "red bloody mist" in the later part of the video. I guess they were deniers!

Man O man thanks for the warning Riddick! Those cc alarmists are dead serious today. :o

A lorry load of thanks to our Riddick for helping me find his intelligence! You Tube's split screen 2 videos I viewed after that great country song 'I Think My Dog Is A Democrat' ended in "Political Humor" inside "Laugh a bit with Ole 68" led me to his short video.

CC Alarmists Continue To Promote Carbon Tax Fantasy

Post by Riddick » 05-05-2019 01:22 AM

Image
Every time a reporter asks me if I would support a carbon tax, I always say I might if it led to a dollar-for-dollar reduction in income or payroll tax rates. And every time I say this the next day a headline reads, "Steve Moore Is for a Carbon Tax." This is Fake News 101.

What's left out is my prediction that the chances of the left agreeing to the carbon tax deal I have in mind range from zero to microscopic. I live in the real world, not in the dreamy ivory towers of academia.

There is, of course, a practical and insurmountable problem with a U.S. carbon tax to stop climate change. Any American levy against our coal, oil, gas and transportation industries would do virtually nothing to reduce global carbon emissions.

Virtually none of the nations that are major polluters have come anywhere near their carbon emission promises under the Paris Agreement. China is massively increasing its emissions. How does it save the planet if we shut down a coal plant but China, India, et al. builds four or five new ones?

The left is adamant it will spend any new dollars on its own corporate welfare green energy programs. Just ask Green New Deal author Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The carbon tax funds "Medicare for All," electric vehicles, mass transit and guaranteed national income.

This is a lose-lose for American prosperity. The energy experts at The Heritage Foundation have crunched the numbers and found that "by 2030, with a $37 per ton carbon tax, the country would experience an aggregate gross domestic product loss of more than $2.5 trillion -- or more than $21,000 in income loss per family." Oh, and about 1 million jobs would vanish, half from manufacturing.

If the climate change warnings of the alarmists turn out to be true, we will use technology and innovation to combat weather changes -- not steel-booted world-government mandates and edicts.

Young People Blame Climate Change For Their Small 401(k) Balances

Post by Riddick » 05-23-2019 04:22 PM

Millennials and young Americans are increasingly blaming “climate change” for their lack of personal savings accounts and retirement plans; saying current weather trends make it near impossible to forecast their economic future.

“Many young people today think civilization may not exist when they’re of retirement age,” writes Market Watch. “Some 88% of millennials — a higher percentage than any other age group — accept that climate change is happening, and 69% say it will impact them in their lifetimes. Engulfed in a constant barrage of depressing news stories, many young people are skeptical about saving for an uncertain future.”

“There is a certain fatalism in this population relative to more recent generations,” said one industry expert. “Psychologically, this population has had more shocks to expectations about their futures than past generations. From a perception point of view, I hear a lot of cynicism about the ability to build retirement savings or whether they will be able to retire at all.”

Despite a lack of savings, the United States economy continues to break record after record under President Trump. The strong data comes as over a dozen Democratic presidential candidates continue to slam the US economy; saying capitalism “has failed” for many Americans and pledging to repeal President Trump’s tax cuts should they take the White House.

Is it any wonder younger folks are looking for answers in all the wrong places? Prior to the Millennial generation, en masse educational institutional indoctrination into a world view based on fear of the future isn't anything Americans were subjected to.

Used to be savings and self-sufficiency were virtues, now they're vices. Free market capitalism sucks, socialism rules. Big government isn't the problem, it's the solution - Save the planet, free cradle to grave everything: The Green New Deal Does It ALL!

And yet even as they want something done, polls show younguns aren't all-in with proposals to tackle CC. Make cars electric-only by 2030? End fossil fuel production by 2035? Ouch! Drastic, that. How about let's think about what to do before we do it? -

So if it's true some question the wisdom of extreme measures, maybe, just maybe the poor young souls aren't all totally lost and it's not too late for anyone to wise up, especially as folks serving the apocalyptic Kool-aid can't even keep the story straight:

After AOC's big reveal that she was 'only joking' about the world ending in 12 years, some people may be wondering if the whole climate change business isn't a scam

And some people wonder why anyone should wonder.
