I have to agree! If they'd done this from the start they'd have a true hit on their hands. NO FLASHBACKS! Yay! I was on the edge of my seat sometimes. Really fun episode! Considering that I haven't slept in about 48 hours, keeping me awake was not an easy thing to do tonight. They succeeded. :D

I hope this high level of quality will continue. If it does the ratings will hopefully improve and the series will be renewed for another season.

Unfortunately, for this week's episode, it didn't. While it had interesting moments, in totality it was mundane, routine, and far too predictable. :(

Still, the promo at the end of the show for next week's episode looked great. We will see.

I missed it this week, watching Ron Whites Salute to the Troops on CMT and my DVR for whatever reason didn't record.

Tonight's episode (March 21, 2011) was much better than last week's. I liked it a lot. :)

Another excellent episode tonight (March 28, 2011). :)

Unfortunately, the ratings of the series make it very unlikely to be renewed for another season but it is concluding nicely. I intend to watch it to the last episode, for those of you who have watched the show all along, I do not believe that you will be disappointed doing likewise.

Hi SETIsLady. :)

I have not seen any episodes so far but intend to watch Fringe on DVD and hopefully catch up with the show before the next season starts. I think I will like it from the praise it has received on ship and elsewhere.

I watched all the seasons of Lost like this, catching up right before the final season started.

I agree, racehorse. The show is MUCH improved after the hiatus, IMO. I like it much more without the flashbacks. Yes, tonight's episode was excellent!

I agree with SETIsLady about Fringe, too. You'll like this! I'll be honest and say that I tried watching it in the first season and gave up after about the first 3-4 episodes (hint: stick with it). BUT, my daughter kept insisting that it got much, much better, so I ended up watching S1 and S2 on DVD and online. I was hooked. :D You will like it VERY much, I think.

Bursts-through-the-door-panting. I totally missed this, but started watching on the website last night with the March 7th episodes. It's like a completely different show! One thing I'd like to know: did they know the "second part" was far superior to the first part, and waited until Spring for a better demographic to release it? Or did they use their time over the hiatus to re-tool the episodes based on audience complaints?

Either way, I can't wait to get back. THIS is the show I was expecting!
Did you ever stop to think, and then forget to start again?

From what I've read, I think it was this. ;) Showrunners often DO pay attention to us.

Glad you're on board with us!

Yes, me too, Live. :)

Another intriguing episode tonight (April 4, 2011) with what I think may be interesting clues leading to a Twilight Zone like twist conclusion????????? ;)

Counting tonight's episode (Strain -April 25, 2011) there are only four episodes left for The Event in the season and almost certainly for the series. Last week's show (Cut off the head -April 18, 2011) was thrilling, suspenseful, and full of surprises particularly regarding Mr. Dempsey, Vice President Jarvis, and to a lesser extent even First Lady Christina Martinez, although I think everything still may not be as it seems regarding her and perhaps for Vicky Roberts, as well.

The Event is really great right now and any Pirates who quit watching due to the early mediocre and worse episodes would probably enjoy the remaining installments. I think they will be well worth watching.

Yes, if only the first set of episodes prior to the hiatus had been this good, then we'd have a hit on our hands! These post-hiatus episodes have all been great!
