the 1990s:
Favourite movie from each decade?

1930s - The Thin Man. I think that William Powell and Myrna Loy made one of Hollywood's best comedic teams ever. And I loved their dog..... A bonus weird flick, Max Reinhardt's 1935 version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. These people had to be on some serious drugs when they made this version. Mickey Rooney as Puck....... All-star cast (for the time), but the film flopped anyway. Joe E Brown in drag was hilarious.......
1940s - Tie between Casablanca and The Best Days of Our Lives
1950s - The Day The Earth Stood Still - I think this was one of the best Sci-Fi films ever made...
1960s - Dr Strangelove - to me the Cold War produced some amazing movies. This kinda shows just how strange the times were......
1970s - tough decade.....M*A*S*H, Fiddler on the Roof....... Star Wars....
1980s - another toughie - liked Amadeus
1990s - Goodfellas - I'm sorry, but there's something about Joe Pesci and "the deer got his foot caught in the grill" scene that cracks me up....
2000s - Harry Potter vs LOTRs??????

There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)
