Agree, wholeheartedly, Cherry. Ian will be more positively oriented toward being part of solutions than problems. :) A Freshening. Yay!

Linn, he mentioned Hilly too........It was a ride the good ole days. They will be missed or should I say have been missed for a long time.

Ian is a nice man but not sure about his style. Will be listening...

Ian Punnett is a radio man. Great interviewer. He will be the Sunday host. I believe Hilly Rose, whom many seem to be happy about - will be doing rotations on the Saturdays Art is not on.

That Ian is a regular host, means he will be developing an ambience and theme of his own - and I welcome that. What Ian's got - we need - imo. Especially now.

Dear Ian.
Though I'll miss Art on Sunday night, I am so glad you're the new host. You are fantastic.

I am curious to hear Ian now that he has finished seminary school. I hope he has not been narrowed by the experience. GN takes his narrow Catholicism to every situation and tries to force everything into that box. I hope Ian leaves the box open. I would have preferred Ian during the week, alternating with GN.

Excellent thought Nemo. I too would like to see . . . er . . . hear that happen.

I was also very happy to hear that Ian will be returning to us on Sunday nights! Way to go, Ian! I always felt that Ian was superb at handling spiritual and religious topics on C2C with an open mind and a great deal of knowledge of and interest in the topic. I welcome him back!!! :)

Actually, this thread opened for Ian Punnett on 4-30-05, when he sent in a congratulation to the Pirates of the Fantastic on the occasion of our 5th Anniversary - and with the message his morning show from St Paul was available via internet streaming.

Glad this thread was here to greet Ian. Mysterious and reassuring, indeed.

Hey, Spike Mike! If ya'll want to hear an interview with Spike Mike, RC and Ian - on our then fledgling and now defunct Fantastic Forum Radio - go to the main Fantastic Forum page:

http://www.fantasticforum.com

and click on the 5th Anniversary link. This will take you to our 5th Ann celebration, and some audio links. Look for the FFR/Ian Punnett interview - and listen in.

*note: you'll get some insights into the behind-the-scenes Ian, some bio on how he got started in radio, thoughts on being a talk radio host, and even hear him sing a FF Radio jingle.
