Yep, I thought Ian was very good last night. He's pretty funny sometimes.:D

Last night Ian made an observation about pilots being the creme de la creme of humanity. My wife of over two decades would beg to differ but it brought back a memorable episode on The Bob Newhart Show.

In Tobin's Back in Town Howard Borden's (Bill Daily) girlfriend gets a visit from her ex-boyfriend played by a fabulous Fred Willard. He is everything Howard is not; suave dashing intelligent and charismatic, wearing imported Italian leather and given to drop Italian words like dumane (tomorrow) which send Helen's heart swooning.

Howard concocts a desperate scheme and races to Chicago O'Hare to intercept Tobin's inbound flight from Cleveland. When the cast meet him he is dressed complete with a WW-I Sopwith Camel scarf and goggles, far beyond the normal contemporary airline pilot accouterments. When asked why he explains that...oh...the airport might need him for some emergency. Seconds later a voice-of-God comes over the P.A.

"Attention please! Will Captain Howard Borden please report to the control tower. We have an emergency only YOU can solve!"

When Ian does open lines, the callers always seem a bit more interesting, it was a good show. I hope Ian does follow up on that "Pre Alex Jones" type radio host that everyone mentioned about.

I could have done without the Kevin challenging JC.

If you notice the date Joanie you will see I posted this thread the next day after I found out, had LM started a thread in the ORR on Friday to get our attention more would have found out and tuned in, I am guessing it was a last minute decision.
