This book is on the nightstand in the "next read", perhaps I will move it up.
I fear we are too far down that slippery slope to implement some of these ideas, and the consequences of some of his ideas (tariffs) would have harsh consequences (much higher prices) at a time when we have millions unemployed.
But at some point we will have to repudiate Reaganomics/Clintonomics if we hope to save the American middle class. But the results of last Tuesday's election show that alot of the American people still don't "get it".

Dance to heal the earth. Not just when you're dancing, but always. Live the dance, whenever you move, in all you do, dance to heal the earth.
Thanks, Cherry and Linda! Hoping many of us will read along with the installments of Thom Hartmann's book - and we will discuss some of his ideas here in this thread.
So far, I'm halfway through the introduction - and his focus has been on restoring our manufacturing base.
I can agree with that as a first principle. We should consider 'outsourcing' to the heartland of America - as well as micro manufacturing in all areas, for instance.
