Who Killed the Left?
BY RICHARD FERNANDEZ

Quote From Article:

"Even before Breitbart's warning there was Orwell, who understood that the Left's ultimate ability was to uproot the past and plant their chosen seed for the future. His famous dictum "he who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past" is an unsurpassed indictment of groupthink totalitarianism. There seemed no doubt they would succeed. Within its bubble, the Left's control of culture is so absolute they can watch 1984 without realizing it's about them."

"Yet the real mystery -- one which even Orwell himself did not anticipate -- is why ?"

"Look around you. Every single country that adopted socialism as an economic system went bankrupt. The Soviet Union collapsed. Now the Western Gramscian project is self-immolating in the fires of its own absurdity. The current political crisis is the collective shudder of mortality passing through "every university, newspaper, TV network, Hollywood studio, publisher, education school and museum in the nation." The left may have "wrapped up the culture war two generations ago," but it is rotting inside the wrapping."

No big surprise. Socialism, communism, Marxism eliminate individualism.

Would you believe sucky stylings aren't just for the after-school academic study crowd anymore?

As a "life-hack" for the ills of the middle class Elon Musk and his super-wealthy pals are touting Universal Basic Income as the greatest thing since penicillin...

Yes, let's administer an absolutely huge dose of socialism to the capitalist economic system. So what's the worst that can happen?

Might it happen the "cash patch" abates immediate symptoms but doesn't adequately address the underlying ailment and over time the strapped middle-class infection comes roaring back, even more resistant to their prescribed treatment?

Nah. That's crazy talk! Doing nothing would be worse. And besides, whether or not UBI works as advertised for everyone else what really matters is Elon and friends don't see profits diminish. What better overnight sleep aid could they ask for?

Is Bernie Sanders right? Are people living under socialism better off? Brazil is a good case study. Felipe Moura Brasil, a journalist and Veja magazine columnist, explains how his country has fared under socialism.

Students Love Socialism... But Can't Define What It Is

CampusReform interviewed students in D.C. to get their opinions on Socialism. Yes, they love it. No, they're not too sure why. Watch them try to define what socialism is...

As a ground-breaking initiative, I think that this bears investigation and let's roll this puppy out.......

Start with those who are pushing hardest with this plan. Require them to, first, completely divest themselves of all holdings, stock, trusts, ownership, etc. Start at Ground Zero like everyone else. Then, once it has been proven that they are on the same economic plane as everyone else that they want to torment, give them their due - same as they want everyone else to get under their scheme and then require them to live the lifestyle for a certain period of time. For the sake of convenience. let's say five years - as in the Bolsheviks Five Year Plan. Re-evaluate after five years, but, in order to be sure, go another five years living on the same plan. Re-evaluate after ten years. See how things go. Ensure that there are no other sources of income. Maybe go another five years and then re-evaluate.

At the same time, put everyone under this plan on Medicare............

Once this is done, then we can talk.

Don't know if that's sad or funny. But, I'd say that their answers are reflective of our public education system.

Some interesting comparisons - in Sweden, the academics dream Socialist country:

ABBA net worth: $2,450,000,000
Yearly Money: $296,969,697

http://celebrityglad.com/abba-net-worth ... sic-group/

By way of comparison.........

Snippet:
According to World Cost of Living spreadsheet (crowdsourced data), the average salary for Stockholm jobs is EUR1,983.90. If your salary is around EUR1,900-higher, then that’s can be considered a good salary range as it is ABOVE the average salary in Stockholm.

Your salary is likely will be spend on eating out and accommodation rental…

In today's rate exchange, this would be $1,133.21

Yeah, our education dept is doing a wonderful job.......

Hoo boy. I dunno if those once super-wealthy plan pushers'll be able to talk after all that! I mean, there's socialism, and TOO MUCH socialism - Elon and his buddies on the same plane with everyone else? OH no. No way! It can't be! They're SPECIAL -

Everyone equal, OK. But keep it so they stay more equal than others. Anything else would be suicidal!! It's Sominex they want, not cyanide.
