Protesters picket Harbor Chevron

A group of people who were asked to leave the Harbor Chevron, crossed the street, made signs and became protesters claiming to protect vehicles from water in Chevron’s gas.
Chevron Manager Donna Nelson said she asked the homeless group to leave because they had been using the store bathroom for days, had made a mess, were going through the store’s garbage and had never purchased an item.
The protesters would not respond to questions about their actions and none claimed to have a damaged vehicle, know anyone who did or have any idea if any vehicle had been damaged. When asked questions, one of the group signaled for the others not to speak.
Manager Eva Murphy said they were lying about the gas.
The group had been asked to leave at about 9 a.m., according to the managers, and were protesting and claiming the gas was “bad” 10 minutes later.
Sheriff’s Sgt. John Ensley, who responded to a complaint about the protesters, said they were homeless and angry about being asked to leave and that none of them had a vehicle or any knowledge about the quality of Chevron’s gas.
