Could you put that in context LM? Could you pull the paragraph from wherever you saw that and paste it into a response?

Well, here's what that cesspool of "knowledge" Wikipedia says, and now that I read it, I think they're right and now understand YOUR question -- yeah, you just hit ANY damn key to move forward while in the midst of series of commands.

Any key refers to a command prompt that will be fulfilled no matter which keyboard button is pressed, and is most often seen on early operating systems that were released before mice became common. "Press Any Key" does not refer to a button labelled "Any" on the keyboard, and because of this has become a joking reference to newcomers' confusion about computers.

Ohhhhhhhh -- so THAT'S what you're selling on eBay that has bids of up to $200,000! Smart wench!! ;)

Better bid, now, LM, before it's too late, or you'll be in computer hell for the rest of your natural days!

Maybe a better question would've been: What is your favorite 'any' key?....

I seem to be compelled to use 'K' most of the time. But every now and then I get a bit saucy and hit the 'V' key....:D

'X' is rather predictable but 'Q' is intriguing....

I always thought it meant the pitch ... singing out in any key
will do. Sharp or Flat it doesn't matter with that new speech software.

I tend to hit J or F --simply more accessible.
