Similar to my new 8.1 system. One big marketing trap, only in tile form. Hate it.

Why in the world wouldn't MS support simply suggest a crap cleaner?

I guess a really good one might go too far and remove Windows itself.

That's what happened to my last Windows I had, I sat there and watched it "literally" eat itself up. Never again! I do really enjoy my android and wi-fi and not being tied to any thing. And got used to the 10 inch screen in no time. And it goes every where with me.

They suggested I download their anti-malware toolbar.

"Ok, your screen is full of crap. You want WE should do something?"

So their system supports adware? Like THEY don't already know that??

No response is just as good (if not better) as anything users can expect from MS - "Gripe, gripe, gripe. Day in day out! So our products aren't perfect. We support folk put up with crap. Why shouldn't you?"

Need help? Have a problem? We'll show you how much we don't care. Bill Gates didn't get rich worrying about whether people are pleased or not! What matters is marketing and having a huge market share -

Expect to be kept happy as a MS customer-? WRONG! You've set your sights too high. Simply accept that things will never get better, be satisfied with what you've got and everything'll be fine, just fine.

Well, You could always talk to the folkes in India or where ever, that want to really help with your windows. I am so lucky i get 8 to 10 calls from them every month ! And still not sure Gates isn't funding them? :realmad:

When MS (or any company for that matter) outsources their support services oversees? They're tacitly telling customers, "Talk to the hand."

What I'm talking about is pure SCAM. Microsoft does NOT call you out of the blue to tell you something is wrong with your computer. These folks get you all "hot and bothered" to eventually get you through to eventually turn over your computer by remote and upload all your info and down load a virus, then hit you up for money to fix . Of course you and your computer are "toast" by then. The sad thing is it works, there are a lot people that are ready to be"fleeced.

Aggressive, persistent Windows tech support scammers continue to stalk consumers

Quote:
Scammers posing as Microsoft support technicians continue to work the phones in search of victims, the company said last week, and have, in fact, grown bolder in their tactics.

And in the last few weeks,_Computerworld_has seen a spike in the volume of reports from readers who have been targeted by fake support schemes.

They are very smooth and patient , they are both men and women. I some how have become one of their favorite people to call, over the last few YEARS! :realmad:

Pretty slick, calling from India or wherever like that. Even so much MS support doesn't call customers out of the blue, how much more of an automatic absolute giveaway would it be if the caller DIDN'T have a foreign accent?

Anahoo, Doka, how about next time they call, you put 'em on the spot - Right away say you work for the FBI and the call is being traced as you speak, then see 1) how quick they hang up, and 2) how long you stay on their favorites list.
