More people are using multiple electronics more often than ever before, starting at ever earlier ages. Problem is, we weren’t built for them. FULL STORY

As orthopedic visits increase along with referrals to physical and occupational therapists, joint injections, prescription of more pain meds, patches and joint injection, you just know that, as with smoking, drinking and other "social behavior" questions, insurers will soon require that doctors start documenting answers to mandated questions about use of social media, computers and so forth.

Just as insurers have had to shell out money to cover claims related to obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer, the next growth will concentrate on the self-inflicted wounds associated with the use of computers such as carpal tunnel, neck and back strain and hearing loss.

Just saying......... electronic medical records were set-up for a reason - to document, capture and analyze the metrics and then develop strategies by both public health officials as well as insurers. Once todays millennials and Gen-Xers start racking-up health insurance costs and show trends away from the typical youth sports injuries, you'll start to see the numbers and types of questions being asked - and covered/ non-covered conditions change.

From the 2016 ICD-10 coding manuals:

2016 ICD-10-CM Diagnosis Code M70.99

Unspecified soft tissue disorder related to use, overuse and pressure multiple sites

There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)
