Ahoy! Art Bell!
The Fantastic Forum is sailing into it's 8th Anniversary on April 21st/22nd. It would be great if you could be on the air for that, and to help us celebrate.
The Eight - very mystical and auspicious.
It's been a hell of a ride for the Pirates of the Fantastic as well, eh Art? Ah, the memories.
How young and starry eyed we were:

Remember this celebration RC put together for us back in year one?
He may have another surprise for us this year

I would _not_ want Art to answer this and (potentially) cause any problems with his contract, but do any of you out there know when his current contract is up? Or remember what time of the year it was previously when he signed it?
And as for all the farewells, I think what most of us want to say is thank you; we hope you're happy in whatever you choose to do -- if it's something we can be part of, all the better.

I said my Contract is close to done, not done yet, so hang in there. I may do a show yet this Month.
As for post Contract, that is something I can not discuss here as you might guess.
Art
**Shivers** Oh man... From the desert of the freaking SEA! I like the way that was worded... Mysterious and very reassuring.
Art, bud, you rock. But then again, you know that! Anytime you're on the air, we sit and listen. IMO, I think you're the only Radio host I've listened to in... 25+ years that has an IQ above 100. I've always enjoyed you because you're intelligent, and engage the person/guest you have on, in a way that makes them feel at ease quicky. I wish more hosts did this, and not the mass produced DJ stuff I hear everywhere else (with that DJisque twangy voice)
Will keep my ears open for ya!

At first, it was Audionet, then Broadcast.com, and Yahoo bought Broadcast.com, then the FCC halted radio over the internet for a time (Wow, Yahoo ate that one--bad timing for Yahoo ) and then in they were gone.
Even way back then, I was searching for some way to download each show . But nothing existed software wise that allowed downloading it.. (plus, in 1996, I think I still had dialup.. imagine how long 1000's of shows would have taken to d/l?)
Fios today with 30mbps is so nice...
