Snorrithor,

NDE's and OBE's are very different. An Out Of Body experience is when the spirit leaves the body for awhile and goes somewhere, exploring or whatever. During an OBE (from those I know who have had them, and from one I had) you can just think of a place, and you go there. These would be places on the earth or perhaps even outer space. But you are in the 'here and now'. It feels like you are awake, but not in your body, but you are connected by a cord. If you encounter people, they cannot see or hear you.

An NDE is when someone has clinically died, cross-over to the other side. Sometimes, they remember going through the tunnel, being greeted by deceased loved ones, angels, etc., and sometimes they remember having a life review. One of the factors that define a true NDE, is that the event is 'life-changing', usually in a positive way, that is, if they went to a good place. And sometimes when they go to a bad place, it is also life-changing, and that person begins living a better life.

Anyway, just in case you didn't know the difference...
