Question from n00b

Post by CliveCalculator » 05-22-2010 04:47 AM

Hi all,

long time listener, and i don't know why I hadn't signed up here years ago - but i'm here now. :D

I'm not sure where to ask questions about past shows, so I will ask here if that's okay.

Art did a great interview with a British guy who talked about the bad relationship between Bush Jr and Sr [this was long before Oliver Stone's biopic] and he also gave an alternative conspiracy theory to 9/11 in that it stemmed all the way back to the Nazi's after world war 2 which in turn led to the start of Saddams Baath party

Does that sound familiar? The British guy was some Mi5 spy Government expert.

I've spent a long time researching the official website with no luck. I need to know the name of the British guy and maybe when the show went out - it wasn't that long ago but i cant remember the year.

It was a great show and Art really pinned him down in terms of what he was saying.

Thanks

CliveCalculator, I think you are referring to Nick Cook.

Snip

Nick Cook (Nicholas Julian Cook, b. 1960) is a British aviation journalist and author of fiction and non-fiction works and has won four Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards from the Royal Aeronautical Society. . . .

From 1987 to 2001, Cook was Aviation Editor of Jane's Defence Weekly, the international defence journal. He is currently the magazine’s Aerospace Consultant. His exclusive stories for Jane's have included reports on Russian secret weapons and a second classified operation to rescue US hostages in Iran. He is also a regular contributor to the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal and writes extensively for other United Kingdom and international media. In his 18 year career, he has visited the world's leading defense establishments and has gained access to numerous top secret military facilities and bases in the US and former Soviet Union. As a regular commentator on defence and security issues, his views and analysis were sought by UK, US, and other world news media during the 1991 and 2003 wars against Iraq and major conflicts in between.

Cook is widely regarded as an expert on military "black projects." . . .

Antigravity & Zero Point Energy
Sunday May 15, 2005

Reporter for Jane's Defence Weekly, Nick Cook shared an in depth conversation on the subjects of antigravity and zero point energy.Cook said the concept of zero point energy -- that a potential and limitless power source pervades all of space -- is "rooted in science." As evidence he cited the Casimir experiment, in which two flat metallic plates are placed parallel to one another with only an infinitesimal space between them. According to Cook, the pressure of the vacuum of the zero point energy field pushes the plates together.Cook noted that antigravity effects have also been experimentally demonstrated. The work of Thomas Townsend Brown in 1929, though not definitive, shows that he may have found a way to control gravitation using positively and negatively charge capacitors, Cook said. In another example, he pointed to Dr. Eugene Podkletnov's discovery that objects placed above a superconducting disc lose some of their weight.Cook recently set up a new websi ... More

Zero Point & Anti-Gravity
Wednesday August 13, 2003

Writer Nick Cook (website), appeared on Wednesday's program discussing technological developments that involve Zero Point energy (ZPE) and anti-gravity. Cook explained that ZPE is a "background radiation source that pops in and out of existence on a relentless and infinite scale." However, he pointed out that it is difficult to make hardware that can take advantage of this boundless energy. One use of ZPE is to harness anti-gravity, and Cook said this kind of experimentation could be traced back to Nazi Germany during WWII. They were exploring an "extraordinary cauldron of ideas," out of desperation to stay in the war, said Cook. One weapon they were working on was a bell-shaped device, that had an ionizing glow, and could have been their answer to the nuclear bomb, he said. Cook also spoke about his investigation near the top-secret Area 51, which he conducted about a decade ago, as research for his book The Hunt for Zero Point. He witnessed an orb of orange light dri ... More

Visions of War
Wednesday March 19, 2003

As war broke out on Wednesday night, George stayed on the air for a full six hours combining updates from the Middle East with open lines. Callers phoned in their reactions to the new war and how it was affecting their lives. George also set up special topic line "for people who have the ability during troubled times to get a vision." One of the most fascinating calls on the Vision Line came from Ruthanna of Atlanta. "It concerns homing pigeons," she said. While there is a tight watch on the US borders, what she saw unfolding was the releasing of birds carrying harmful biologicals landing at random places in the US. She was particularly struck at what an effective weapon this was, and how it was such a contrast to the barrage of 9-11. Other caller's visions detailed a car bomb at LAX, a huge object striking Mexico, and people dissolving on the floor from a red liquid. ... More

Imagine the power, economic and military, that would fall into the hands of the person who figured out how to bypass the ordinary laws of physics, defy gravity, and travel near the speed of light. Though it sometimes seems to fall in the realm of science fiction more than pure science, aviation-technology journalist Nick Cook's intriguing tale involves the long quest to develop antigravity vehicles and the sometimes eccentric characters who have played a part in it: Nazi rocket engineers, backyard inventors, NASA scientists, conspiracy theorists, and UFO watchers among them. ... Thanks for the responses - though I'm pretty sure it wasn't Nick Cook. I'm quite familiar with Nick Cook's work and all his appearences on C2C.

The man I'm thinking of sounded older and part of the British security establishment, he may have been in Mi5 / SiS. He wasn't a proponent of ufology, more politics and history.

I also think he only made one or two appearences on the show.

He offered a totally new alternative theory explaining 9/11

Given Art's rejection of the dominant 9/11 'Loose Change' style conspiracy theories, he seemed quite interested in this possible explanaton.

The British guy was basically saying that after World War 2 the allies didnt manage to round up all the Nazi's stationed in Mesopotamia later named 'Iraq' - the Baath party grew out of the remnants Nazi party. He explained how Saddam actually was implicated in 9/11 - I think he was saying it actually wasn't a mistake going into Iraq.

He impressed Art by what he said. It was fascinating and made so much sense in explaining how Sept 11 was orchestrated by the legacy of the Nazi 'Odessa' network.

thanks again, i hope we can figure the guy's name :)

Could this be who you are looking for?
Aerospace and defense systems developer Sir Charles Shults revealed the positive and negative sides to nanotechnology, as well as the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Nanotechnology offers the ability to manipulate things at the atomic level and will allow us to construct materials that we've never been able to make before. For instance, a bullet-proof garment that weighs no more than a T-shirt is being developed. Nanotubes are being used to make new capacitors that could be used for lightweight storage/battery systems In medicine, nano particles were recently used to treat Alzheimer's patients, he reported.

Possible misuses of nanotech include weaponry that could be effectively hidden and taken aboard planes. We'll need entirely new systems to detect and discover these weapons, Shults said. He also warned of the "grey goo" syndrome in which nano disassemblers run amok and begin "eating" everything around them. There could also be "targeted viruses" that could used against crops or specific geneotypes.

The advance of intelligent machines could benefit humanity by allowing us to consult with another type of mind, Shults pointed out, yet these machines could one day decide to take over "for our benefit."

Iraq War & 9/11

Date:

04-07-07

Host:

Art Bell

Guests:

Michael Shrimpton

Art was joined by Michael Shrimpton, a specialist in national security, intelligence and counter terrorism, for a discussion on 9/11 and the War in Iraq.

Shrimpton dismissed conspiracy theories that involve the United States in any way in the 9/11 attacks. "It is quite clear that neither President Bush nor Vice President Cheney had any prior warning whatsoever. They were clearly taken by surprise," he said. Shrimpton stated that the Bush administration was right to initially blame Iraq for the attacks.

According to Shrimpton, there is plenty of evidence to tie Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. The two had begun meeting with each other in 1989, he explained, and documents provided by the Iraqi National Congress link bin Laden to the Iraqi 'Mukhabarat' intelligence organization as far back as 1992. Shrimpton said the Mukhabarat was heavily involved in the planning and execution of 9/11.

Shrimpton also pointed out that Iraq had stolen a Boeing 767 simulator from Kuwait during the first Gulf War. The simulator was later sent to a terrorist training camp, where it was used to train the terrorist pilots who carried out the 9/11 plot against the US.

Shrimpton commented on the so-called lack of WMDs found in Iraq. He said British and US Intelligence were aware of WMDs being moved out of Iraq between September 2002 and March 2003. Shrimpton further revealed that France and Germany supported the Iraqi WMD program.

He also suggested that China, who holds a trillion dollars of US treasury bills, threatened to dump them on the market in order to keep the Bush administration from blaming bin Laden for 9/11.
