What if you knew that Jefferson trusted the people to act wisely, and thought that governments should leave citizens as free as possible to act as they wished?

I would think he had no idea of the information age that would take off in the 21st Century, or the rise of the military industrial complex he had warned about.
Agree with Jefferson, but it is up to us to be vigilant!

Yea to bad that went south 
(Govts do whatrever they can do invade privacy,etc)
