Unfortunately he won't be impeached but its all going to pale in comparison to what the ICC is going to do if they ever get their hands on him.

Kucinich's office number is (202)225-5871, and his staff is still there and taking calls. I called just to thank DK for doing this.

Thanks for that, Psychicwolf. I just called and did the same. The guy who answered seemed a little pleasantly surprised ;)

Just called as well. Thanks for the ph# PW.

Felt great! Hope there are many calls and much response. Hours of effort went into the research and presentation of this resolution.

He is a great speaker.

Thank you, Dennis. As PW pointed out upthread, at least this is now a part of the Congressional Record. I'd love to hope more will come of it, but realistically, at least these crimes are now formally documented. Bless Dennis for that!

May he live for a hundred years!

He'll be safe, Joe. The powers that be have relegated him to the status of an elf. This provides him with some protection.

It's back to Tara for Dennis.

More newspapers are at least picking up on the story now. :)

I wish Pelosie, Hoyer and Reid were replaced by better Dems.

Kucinich presents Articles of Impeachment, media misses story

So, what if they impeached the president and nobody reported it? As of 3AM EDT the liberal media is largely silent on Dennis Kucinich's introduction of Articles of Impeachment on the floor of the House last night.

Are they afraid of getting it "wrong"? Just report it, as does RawStory:

Kucinich presents Bush impeachment articles

"An Ohio Democratic lawmaker and former presidential candidate has presented articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush to Congress.

Thirty-five articles were presented by Rep. Dennis Kucinich to the House of Representatives late Monday evening, airing live on C-SPAN.

"The House is not in order," said Kucinich to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), upon which Pelosi pounded her gavel. (I also heard a big sigh)

"Resolved," Kucinich then began, "that President George W. Bush be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate. ...

"In his conduct while President of the United States, George W. Bush, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and to the best of his ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has committed the following abuses of power...""

There, was that so hard?

So far nothing current on FOXNews or liberal CNN and MSNBC websites. ABC News has an AP article reproduced here, but there doesn't appear to be a link in from either the front page or the Politics page. CBS News' website offers a small-print headline linking to the story, Kucinich Offers Impeachment Articles Against Bush.

No matter what you think of it, this is news. News. Relevant, important, history-making news. It was live, on C-Span. Reality TV. Yet our most famous, trusted, 24/7/365 cable news media outlets are asleep at the wheel - or holding back. Neither is a good option.

And Bill O'Reilly thinks people who want to reform the media to make it relevant and useful again are loons. "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
