Townhall Presidential Debate 9pm Eastern tonight

I decided to put the thread up early incase anyone wants to talk about the debate before hand.

Tuesday, Oct. 7 Presidential debate with questions on any topic from the audience and the Internet, moderated by Tom Brokaw of NBC at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, in a town hall-style format.

Questions on any topic. Scarey. Will we be hearing talking points in response, or, will there be real answers I wonder.

Given the tone of the campaign, this could be a very risky format for the debate, for both candidates.

My only hope for the night is that Obama takes off his gentleman's hat and swings forcefully (verbally of course) back at McCain.

I am looking forward to the debate tonight, I think Obama will do just fine. I know they say the Townhall enviroment has been good for McCain in the past but really only has been to his "base", I think we will find it a different ball game tonight. But we shall see

I just love Chuck Todd, he just gives the numbers and goes over strategy fairly.

I usually enjoy Chuck Todd's maps and numbers, too. Lately, it's been quite encouraging.
