Southern Indiana and Illinois With Their Shared River State Border Line's First Direct Turn North; Is Easily Found On Any Map Of The United States Of America.
The Wabash River's Horseshoe Bend and it's continuously eroded banks exposes whole trees and logs that can't be compared since they've been dead for 11,500 years!
Our last advancing southward, two thousand miles long glaciers piled soil slowly covered all top plant growth. Resulting, even today, at times, whole trees, including their pointed, 4 and 5 foot long thicker limbs, coming out of the river bank sideways! Where you can steer a boat up to 35' + underneath this rare petrified, grey, stone-like wood!
To my knowledge the news has never investigated this but it has been a long observed, local river, natural legend!
