i got this pic off unknown website a long while ago, some guy trying to debunk art about his final show and the conspiracy reasons behind it all...from the shirt i'd say early 70's.

if you look at the glasses, the mustashe, the cheekbones, eyes, i'd swear it was him 25 years ago.

although it does look alot like my uncle jim...

It might be Jim but it ain't Art, IMO. I've looked at all of the pix I have of Art and he always has parted his hair on his left.

Looks just a little like a young Bernie Kopell as Siegfried on the old Get Smart to me.

ok, i found the site that pic is at, just google - art bell, scroll down to "Pahrump, Nevada - Home of Art Bell" and you'll see it there. it's a parody site i guess, but i'm still convinced it's him.
alot of people make fun of art bell, but that's no reason to fake this picture, i think it's a good pic ofhim back in the late 70's or early 80's. check it out.

if anyone wants to go to this website, be warned it is insulting and we (glop) found it very upsetting. it's an outdated, un-updated site that is there to generate hatemail. the better half of glop was really hot under the collar, and i could not dictate her hatemail fast enough.

i only posted it for the pic, not the content.

but really, i still think that IS Art Bell!:D

Thank you, Bob! I didn't start listening to Art 'til the beginning of
2002. I love to see/hear/read about anything prior to then. Your
pictures are great!

when Art signed off the air in December of 2002 or was it
2001? Anyway it was cool to get it but you really did not
miss too much (IMO) if you did not buy a copy as it has about
900 arty pics of Art and the website by fans who sent them
in to the webmaster :Keith Rowland. Some other stuff too
but no music as was wanted by most Art Bell fans.

Hi bob! Yes, I got the CD and I like the pics, but agree with your
opinion on it - there were alot of things I was hoping would be included on it that weren't.

Hi Art. I belong to Fantastic Forum. Another member started a thread regarding an article written about you that was in Fate Magazine, in May, 1999. The pictures from this were blown up and posted in the thread. Someone else posted this picture (saying it is you) that he found somewhere on the internet - it was not from Fate. That started a debate on whether or not it's you, so I decided to try and find out for sure.

I don't think Art wears outfits ala Michael Jackson. Which brings us to the serious question confronting Art's fate..should he begin wearing one glove?

the uncle jim thing was my attempt at humour, lonevoice has a pic that is of former nicaraguan pres nuariaga or whhatever that looks almost like the same picture, they could be wrong, i dont know, just dont want to argue about it anymore. it looks as much like nauriaga as art bell! continue the debate amongst yourselves, i'm gonna look into it further for myself cuz i'm confused:(

hey bob, guess i too should thank ya fer the pics, they really are cool, and sorry i may have ruined your thread, i really didnt mean to make an arse out of myself (or my uncle jim, (again my sad attempt at humour)). And ofcourse no disrespect intended to art or anybody else.

the better half of glop has listened to coast since the mid 90's, she got the worser half, me, into it about 4 years ago. i have to say i am truly a fan now, however, and mistakes happen. obviously there are more sea-worthy pirates than i; more experienced, more knowledgable, and i was trying to fit in with the crew.

i've gotten the jist that some o' y'all are pretty tight, and there are some squabbals also, and well, glop just hopes to find a good bottle of rum and some dramamine.

thanx again bob for the fate pics, i'd like to see the article itself too! (and thanx everyone else for pointing out my mistakes, especially to the lonevoice that came to me from nowhere to finally set me straight.)
