Wow, that's great, tracker3!

I looked at that BlackViper site, Mark. Looks too scary for a computer-challenged dumbie like me! I'll just keep crunchin' along, slow and steady.

Yes, a Big welcome to Chuck! Did Doug find you out there on the cyber seas? ;) And, Tracker - sounds like you are going full speed ahead. I am set up now, and going to re-install the 3.03 ver megman sent to me.

Great info Gwen. I am glad you keep us all up to date here.

Thanks Gwen. Don't feel bad It was pretty scary for me and I have been in this field for 16 years now! :D I used to be 'elite' when I was 16. Things have changed since then. Kids got smarter or I got dumber. Maybe both. :eek: Oh well at least there aren't any kids that make my salary so I guess it all works out anyways.

Linnea, It was brutal but I managed. I now have 3 machines out of 15 running cli (3.03 because I think someone said it was faster than the new one...please correct me if I am wrong) using seti driver. I have to say putting seti-driver and the CLI in the same folder makes it ALOT easier to set up the first time. :D I learned thins after about 3 attempts (my grandmother said I was a hard head). I will get the rest on CLI monday if all goes well with it this weekend.

Anys I noticed a big boost in production last night no doubt from those three machines.

Also quick question for Mark or anyone who knows the answer. The screen saver starts up everytime the machine is shut down and is turned back on automatically starts off where it stopped. I didn't know if seti-driver does or not so I put it in the startup folders in case a user reboots his PC. I set the short-cut to start minimized. I didn't test this out so I am left wondering until I get back to the office. As usual all you guys help is very much appreciated.

Tracker - SETI Driver won't automatically start up when a machine reboots or is rebooted. So putting a shortcut in the startup folder was a grand plan. :D

I would suggest that you right click the shortcut, and make sure that the "Start in" directory is the directory where SETI Driver, and the cli are located, otherwise there could be some problems.

{PS - Thanks! :D}

;) You're welcome. Thanks for the tip as well I double checked them for the startup directory. Restarted the three machines this morning and viola! Instant reload of seti-driver and processing resumed fine! (AWESOME!). Thanks again Doug.

Are you listed here?

Post by Tracker3 » 04-23-2003 08:40 AM

I found this in the news section and checked to see if I had found any signal candidates yet. :( Unfortunately not but I still have a ways to go in this project so I will bust my cpu's rear to try and get one! :D

Here's the link if you want to see if you have processed a signal candidate.
