Yes, free is wonderful. I wish you luck in this.
Many people (school, groups, society as a whole) will try to mold all the color right out of your child's life if you don't watch 'em..ha ha

They think conformity is best.

I don't agree that kids should be unruly, but I don't think a whole new gen. of sheeples is good either...
I dunno

When my father was a boy, his shoes used to move up and down under his bed at night and he would be frightened. His mother (being a good Catholic woman) told him he must pray for the souls in purgatory. He would pray every night and he said it stopped. When it would start up again, he would pray and it would stop. Weird, huh? Come to think of it, I guess my sister and brothers and I got a double dose of genetic sensitivity. ;)

FairBecca..........agreed......but we are also in a time of letting other's ....be it a human (day care), or an inadimate object (video games, cell phone tech, computers, etc...) babysit your children.
i am fortunate enough to run our bizz from home, and intend on being there to run interference when some of that corruption comes landing at our Boris's feet.

call me idealistic, and i am, a new father with "big plans" on how to raise my boy......but i can see plenty of examples (even within my own family) of how not to go about it......and let others dull down those senses.

but, gotta say......living in Portland is a killer city to raise kids.........parents are very hands on here.....very involved in their kids lives. where i come from (southern Cali), that has become rare.

Y'know, I think that this may be connected. That with all these very special children and a rise in predators. the Good trying to bring us to a more perfect level, and the Evil trying to destroy it.
That would make our main job to protect the children over everything else.
