Issues TEST: Who's Your Candidate?

Post by Joolz » 08-08-2007 03:06 AM

This is a test to see which of the current crop of presidential candidates from both the Democratic and Republican parties best matches your views on 25 issues. You won't be shown anything about the candidates' positions, but will simply be asked if you support or oppose various issues and to rate them by how important they are to you. At the end you will be shown which candidates' positions best match your own views.

http://www.dehp.net/candidate/

It isn't perfect, of course--there are lots of other issues they could have included, but didn't, IMO--and is only meant to be a guide, but the results are interesting, I think.

Oh, and the issues listed under each candidate's name on the list you are given at the end are the ones which you DISAGREE with that candidate about, not the ones you agree with.

Please don't feel obliged to post your results on this thread. This is just for your information. It's OK if you want to post them, I guess, but could also be an invasion of your privacy, so I want to be clear that I'm not asking anyone to do that. I'm just passing along the link because I found it interesting.

Do you not vote, or is your candidate not on the list?

Just as a point of information, there is no such entity as the "Democrat Party," a term used mostly by some Republicans and other non-Democrats--including some members of Congress, although they have often been corrected on this usage.

The party of Mike Gravel and Hillary Clinton is called the Democratic Party. An individual member of this party is called a Democrat.
