Orange Creamsicle Pie - Slap yer mama GOOD!

Post by Shimmering Auro » 08-23-2007 10:34 PM

This is easy and refreshing. The recipe does not have to be limited to orange. It can be made with pitted and chopped cherries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.
As an added bonus, it can be made with fat free and sugar free products such as Cool Whip Free and Sugar Free Jell-O.

For the Orange Creamsicle Pie recipe you will need:

1 pre-made graham cracker crust

2 small cans mandarin oranges, drained

1 large box Orange flavored Jell-O

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup ice cubes

1/2 container Cool Whip

Drain mandarin oranges, arrange in bottom of graham cracker pie crust

Pour package of Jell-O in bowl. Add 1/2 cup boiling water, stir until Jell-O is completely dissolved

Add 1/2 cup ice cubes to liquid Jell-O. Stir until ice cubes melt

Spoon 1/2 container Cool Whip into mixing bowl, slowly add cooled liquid Jell-O. Mix well.

Spoon Cool Whip/Jell-O mixture over oranges. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Enjoy!

It's really, really goooooood. ;)

Takes about 5 minutes to make.

Just got another easy pie recipe but this one is far more fattening.

I'll wait to share the new recipe until someone here tries the first one.

Weight-Watchers diet (which consists of things that are green and brown, but WORKS, btw :)) does not allow such things.

Let me live vicariously!

Funny that you should resurrect this thread Riddick. I made creamsicle pie when I saw this recipe here years ago. :) It was yummy!
