These guys are employing arguments that are hundreds of years old with a coat of fresh paint in the form of contemporary scientific theory -- what other scientists would call
misappropriated scientific theory. Not because these other scientists wouldn't like it to be true, but because they're smart enough, and trained enough, to detect the flaws in the arguments. On the other hand, in terms of scientific research, Lanza appears to be "real," so what do I know. He reminded me of Alan Watts, and quite a few others, going back to the transcendentalists, Romantics, and Idealists. There's an ineluctable aspect of chicanery in many of these characters....
