Prolonged cold snap here (relatively speaking) ... all the plants are looking a bit sad, except the island poppies.

Well chilled oxalis running rampant in the yard. It's known to have an affinity for copper, so maybe I ought to try my hand at geobotanical prospecting .

You know most folks consider this a weed but I have always loved it and I have it in my garden rampant as well and I do nothing (as if you could) to eradicate it.

Yes it is tasty - was not aware about the nitrogen.

Have you ever grown Sorrel? Love it.

Is this a Gerbera Daisy? Beautiful color.

I bet you would like Sorrel - so very easy to grow - once you have it you seem to always have it. Sort of a sour bite - I find it refreshing.

I spend a little time stamping down the 'dead' growth marigolds as they reseed themselves in my gardens quite well!

Looks a little like http://www.lilies.org/trumpets/pages/seedlingb.html - definitely looks like a lily to me.

trumpet lilies sound about right --

Am working on dividing lilies this year as they branch out - root wise - and get way overcrowded. They need to be divided about every three years!
