It was one year ago that Linnea left us. I just hope that she is in a better place, and that she is happy to see that all the work she put into this forum, all her love and lifeforce was not in vain. We still love this forum you made for us, and we miss you.

In these darkening times we could use more voices focused on enlightening..Linnea's always was.

I'd forgotten it was the end of April and not the first of May we lost her.

Dale and I came up with this tag cloud based on the actual text in Linnea's posts. We extracted all of Linnea's words from the database, then sorted, weighted and unique'd them, and finally ran it through a tag cloud service. Here is the result:

That came out way better than my idea - especially the linked flash version that is interactive and animates when moused over. I hope Art sees this..and I hardly think of him any more. Just when remembering Linnea and the times here. .

Thanks for the word extraction, research and implementation Fan. This paints a nice picture of her.

The archive is brimming with Linnea's words - and sometimes, her silence. That is the treasure this ship, and this ship alone carries. Not only Linnea's words, but those of all her pirate friends too. So many great pirates over the years, so many epic threads & posts. We won't abandon her legacy to the high seas anytime soon either!

Soon it will be another year. It doesn't make it any better. To be honest I wish that I could have Linnea here with me on the forum, or just Linnea in any capacity. The FF was and is hers, I am looking after it. I feel with every day the importance of this agora, it is like being the guardian of an ancient spiritual site.

Let's look forward and say that we have weathered a terrible storm. One that will be forever remembered and spoken of. We have lost our leaders, but old ones and new ones have come to the fore and have guided us. All of the collective spirit of the Fantastic Forum has driven us forward past the shoals. Friendship, shared experience, and community has brought us to this place in order to do this good ship proud.

A hearty Hail! to Linnea, RC and our heritage, and a wish to have them send us peace and long life on our journey onwards.
