How To (Largely) Satisfy a Big Mac Attack for a Pittance of

Post by Riddick » 09-16-2012 09:16 PM

Have a craving for a MickeyD burger that comes with two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions but don't want to pay a big price to get it (upwards of close to 4 bucks or more these days)? It can be done, if you're willing to compromise!

Of course, for those hard-core classic Big Mac purists among you who simply MUST have it all served up on that sesame seed double-decker bun, hey now! Don't feel at all obliged to change you ways one tiny little bit. You're perfectly welcome to continue to shell out all those extra shekels for that long-time "genuine" menu article --

But for anyone else whose Mac attack palate might be pleased by a near-complete alternative, would you believe you can have one at a fraction of the cost?

While I've not yet done this myself, from what-all I've read on the 'Net (here's an in-depth look at the concept), it's apparently very simple! Next time you go in, ask for a McDouble WITHOUT ketchup and mustard, and WITH shredded lettuce and Mac sauce -

Be aware: some folks report that depending on the location, there may be an upcharge for adding the sauce, and even the lettuce; if so, some say telling them to 'substitute' the sauce and lettuce for the ketchup and mustard may well get you what you want with no extra charges.

If you've got to have that additional slice of cheese, though, it's definitely going to cost you. For that matter rather than special order a McDouble you might just as well start off with a double cheeseburger.

Otherwise, with a McDouble as a base and sans extra cheese, in all likelihood most MickeyDs will charge only the standard Value Menu price of one measly buck for the transformed burger, addons and all, reaping you a potential savings in the neighborhood of three dollars or more each time compared to ordering a regular Big Mac...

And the REAL BEAUTY to it all is, what all you save by NOT spending extra on something is the best kind of money there is, 'cause it never gets touched by government - if you have doubts, think of it like this folks - if you consider the many ways he digs into pockets, all things equal one way or another Mr. or Ms. Average World Denizen might well be short one dollar for every dollar that 'the man' lets them keep!

From that angle, in addition to the burger itself, just from cost-savings said typical Earth citizen could easily come out of the whole deal with an equivalent payoff of a 6 BUCK BONUS in cash each and every time... and at one a day, in one year's time alone a body'd be just shy of 22 HUNDRED dollars ahead. Over the course of five years, they'd be close to 11 GRAND better off than otherwise!!

If everyone in America did the same, after a half decade at current population levels the total would exceed 3.4 TRILLION DOLLARS - if everyone in the world did it, the bonus buck global total would top 76 TRILLION.

Understandably, that total will have come from folks buying special order McDoubles RATHER than Big Macs, and consequently MickeyDs won't have $38 Trillion they would otherwise have made; yet they'll STILL have made about a quarter of that, which IS in no way chump change. 'Course, the OTHER 38 Trillion will have been nicely kept out of the hands of voraciously grabby governmental entities across the globe, instead staying entirely IN the hands of the general world population... What a crazy concept, eh?

The bottom line: You'll be losing money if you DON'T do this as often as possible, folks! Just remember these three easy steps:

1) Special Order a McDouble. 2) Get a "Value-Minded" Big Mac. 3) Profit!
