Moody Blues
"Once Upon A Time" is one of my favorites. It reminds me of the only time I experienced "love at first sight" and I married him. It only lasted about 5 years, but when it was good, it was beyond belief.

Who does the song Bobbi?

For this Thanksgiving Day, my favorite song would have to be "Time in a Bottle" because my oldest cat - a black Maine Coon who is SO OLD he's turned gray and his whiskers and chin/muzzle fur has turned white; he's nearly 20 years old.
Today it was 7 days post-surgery. The operation took 4.5 hours with two surgeons, to remove a large tumor from his neck, and at 19, his odds were not good. (A year ago no one would do surgery when the lump was small; they said it was far too risky for a cat his age, and we all thought he'd probably die before the tumor became a real problem. But, alas! It was larger than two huge avocado seeds together, and he couldn't swallow solid food any longer. He dropped 10 pounds between last July and now; he was literally starving to death.)
He's been surviving on half 'n' half and Nutracal for 14 weeks. It was finally either euthanize him… or attempt to remove the tumor. We opted for surgery, because he loves life so much. And last Thursday he survived the surgery, and Sunday we brought him home.
Finally - TODAY - he began drinking his half's' half again, and eating a small amount of small dry kitten food. We are still giving him ringers twice a day, and supplementing his meager attempts to eat with Nutracal; and altho he's still unsteady on his feet, he manages to come to bed a couple of times a night (How he gets up there is a mystery, but he's determined).
His incision is healing nicely, and he obviously still loves life and loves US! So I'm so thankful he;s made it through today, and hoping he will get stronger day-by-day, and spend another couple of years with us. He's so amazing, and for that Rod & I are tremendously thankful.

Good for you! Karma for everyone! Give him a pet for me, or twenty. Any chance of a photo in the cat thread?
The heartbreaking necessity of lying about reality and the heartbreaking impossibility of lying about it.
