What We Learned This Week

Post by Riddick » 03-07-2014 01:59 PM

Among other things...
  • The inventor of a favorite childhood toy also made great coffee.

We've been pooping the wrong way.

There's a 30,000 year old virus that may kill us all.

The AeroPress is one of the best methods of brewing coffee. I sell them and I encourage everyone to use one. People don't realize how much coffee loses when it is percolated or worse.

Among other things we learned...
  • How not to kill yourself with household items.

Who invented the chocolate chip cookie.

The stress of coding literally drives developers crazy.

    Running shoes don't prevent injuries.

Flight 370 is still missing (and Thailand sure didn't help).

The secret to success is sweatpants.

From the link provided:

LA Gang Members Are Reportedly Fighting For Assad In Syria

“Creeper” and “Wino” are two “homies” from Los Angeles-based gangs Sur-13 and Westside Armenian Power. But they’re no longer in LA. Instead, the pair are just two of at least 50 American citizens fighting in Syria. Apparently, fighting for Assad can be more profitable than running the streets of a major American metropolis. Plus, there’s definitely less traffic to deal with.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Would be interesting to see how much of our taxpayer money is going to support Creeper and Wino. Hopefully the Dept of Justice (what am I saying?!!?!?!!?) is on top of this........
There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)

We are way off topic of course, but check out the stainless steel disk they make http://www.aeropress.ca/replacement-aeropress-filters/ - it is very nice, and I prefer the brew it makes.

Way OT? I dunno. Overall theme aside, does this thread really have a topic per se?

If you ask me, learning more about coffee is as good as anything else if not better.
