Soldier’s Best Friend: Military Members Adopt Dogs From Middle East

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Two U.S. soldiers are rescuing dogs from war zones in the Middle East and giving them a better life right here in Pennsylvania.

Amigo just retired as a military bomb detection dog, and Ghost is a stray dog that the soldiers befriended.

Guardians of Rescue raised $10,000 to get the dogs out of the Middle East and fly them to Pittsburgh.

The dogs were expected to arrive Wednesday.

They will live with the soldiers’ families until the soldiers return home.

Montana’s Senate Bill 97, which bans the application of foreign laws in Montana, passed the Republican-controlled House Judiciary along party lines and will now move to the House floor, Montana Public Radio reported on March 13.

While the legislation does not specifically mention Sharia law, both those in favor of and in opposition to the measure have referred to it in hearings as the “Sharia law bill.” Sharia law is what governs Islamic societies, in the public square and in the home.

The bill’s sponsor, state Senator Keith Regier (R-Kalispell) insists that his intent is to protect the fundamental liberties of Montana citizens by forbidding the use of foreign laws in state courts.

“For these immigrants to retain their diverse rule of law would create a society in chaos,” said Regier, as reported by the Flathead Beacon.

Sandy Montgomery, a constituent of Regier’s, defended the measure, calling it “long overdue.”

“We have allowed legal immigrants, illegal immigrants, and now refugees to take advantage of our law and our culture and to take up their own agendas,” she said. “They have no intention to abide by our laws nor are they interested in assimilating into our culture.”

Sandy Bradford of Helena fears that the application of Sharia law in state courts would hurt women’s rights.

“It is my opinion that Islam is not a peaceful religion,” said Bradford. “In fact Islam is not a religion at all but rather an ideology. Islam in my opinion is an enemy to all. But especially to women.”

Rachel Carroll Rivas, co-director of the Montana Human Rights Network, decried the bill as “a direct reaction to Islamophobia” and an “underhanded effort to spread an alarmist message about Islam in order to keep Muslims in the United States on the margins.”

The legislation is “rooted in xenophobia that is unfounded and unfair,” she said.

The bill now advances to the House floor for debate. Should it pass, it will go to Governor Steve Bullock, a Democrat, for consideration.

Anti-Sharia Law Bill Passes In Montana House Judiciary

It is time to stand up for American rule of law and individual rights for all. And Montana is doing just that. This is Montana’s version of an anti-Sharia law bill, modeled off similar legislation that has passed in Louisiana, Kansas and Tennessee.

This should be the proverbial no-brainer. And yet the fact that such laws are met with so much resistance, both overt and covert, indicates how very needed they are.

How can anyone oppose a law that seeks to prevent foreign laws from undermining fundamental constitutional liberties? We now have groups that has ever come to this country with a ready-made model of society and government they believe to be superior to what we have here and are working to institute it.

Hungary Refuses to Take 5,000 Migrants From Sweden




Hungary has refused a request by the Swedish government to take in 5,000 asylum seekers, and the Swedes want to take the matter to court.

The Hungarian government has long held a position against the redistribution of migrants from other European countries going as far as holding a referendum on the subject last October. But Sweden is insisting that under European Union (EU) Dublin agreement rules, the migrants should be returned to the Central European country where they first registered, Svenska Dagbladet reports.

Swedish Immigration and Justice Minister Morgan Johansson met with EU migration and asylum Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos in Brussels Monday to discuss the issue. After the meeting, Mr. Johansson said: “It is the Commission’s responsibility to ensure that contracts are kept, and this is our opinion that Hungary did not follow the Dublin rules.”

British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Muslims do not need to become the majority in the UK; they just need gradually to Islamize the most important cities. The change is already taking place.

British personalities keep opening the door to introducing Islamic sharia law. One of the leading British judges, Sir James Munby, said that Christianity no longer influences the courts and these must be multicultural, which means more Islamic. Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Chief Justice Lord Phillips, also suggested that the English law should "incorporate" elements of sharia law.

British universities are also advancing Islamic law. The academic guidelines, "External speakers in higher education institutions", provide that "orthodox religious groups" may separate men and women during events. At the Queen Mary University of London, women have had to use a separate entrance and were forced to sit in a room without being able to ask questions or raise their hands, just as in Riyadh or Tehran.

"London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together", according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead "Londonistan", as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist. Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate for Literature, was less generous; he called the UK "a cesspit for Islamists".
