Everybody likes a good joke! Someone should explain that to AOC, so she knows why no one's laughing!...

On Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she was joking around when she claimed the world was going to end in 12 years if we do not take serious action against Climate Change, a declaration she's been widely criticized over.

The 29-year-old socialist mocked the Republican Party for taking her claim about the end of the world seriously, which she suggested was a combination of "dry humor + sarcasm."

Complicating Ocasio-Cortez’s recent suggestion that the world-ending claim was a mere joke, the elected Democrat has repeated the claim time and again and even collaborated with The Intercept to create a video centered around the charge.

"Climate change is here + we’ve got a deadline: 12 years left to cut emissions in half," she captioned a tweet promoting the video, last month. FULL STORY

Doesn't she know when a comedian's bit bombs, explaining why it's 'funny' doesn't make it any less of a flop? Also, "sarcasm" is the opposite of what's said. So, instead of having 12 years, we’ve got . . . a lot of time? As in, if there’s no huge end of world emergency we don’t need WWII moral equivalent policies like the GND?

Still, what a joker, putting everyone on the way she does: Is she kidding? Is she serious? Is she an idiot? At the rate she's going, with a bit more spit and polish to her act, she could be her generation's Andy Kaufman.

AOC: Seriously, We Only Have 12 Years Left

For most of her short time in public life, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has insisted that the world only has 12 years left to solve the problem of globalwarmingclimatechange before the damage is irreversible. And the damage is, well, whatever she says it is. If we don't do what AOC says before 2031, the weather is going to kill us all. That's what she said, over and over, for months and months.

Then, two weeks ago, she said all that stuff about "12 years" was just a sarcastic, dryly humorous joke. If you thought she was serious, you have the social intelligence of a sea sponge. And that's not much, if you've ever seen a sea sponge in action. Also, you're like Dwight from The Office, which is bad because he's a jerk. LOL, etc.

And now, to prove how much smarter she is than those crummy Republicans yelling about the cow farts she specifically mentioned in her #GreenNewDeal FAQ, AOC just delivered another stunning twist. When she said she was just kidding... she was just kidding! -

AOC will be 35 on October 13, 2024, which will give her almost two full terms as POTUS to save us all from the weather. Well, not literally. But also: literally.
