Interesting picture..
Hey guys, remember me?
I had to send this to you guys, as a group, you may appreciate it!
I took this picture near Grand Rapids, Mi, in a forest east of town.
I was just trying to get some interesting background images, nothing more, and certainly not looking for anything anomolous.
But I got this guy instead..
I am sure it's just a coincidence of light and shadow, but it's a weird one!

Wicked!
Hey, my man from The Porch! Welcome back, Wolfen.
What really sucks is that the board only allows photos of 500 x 500 pixels, which really compromises the clarity and detail.
I have the original scanned in at 700 DPI, and amazingly enough, the image holds true even at very high magnification and detail.
I still suppose it's a freak of light and shadow, but it's better than many of the images that show up on C2C!

He kindalooks like a cross between a panda bear and a tiki monster..?
OH, for sure the image I posted here was not 700 dpi... I have the 700 dpi version saved on my computer.
I greatly reduced the image quality for posting here. The image I posted was only about 500 x 500, very much smaller than the original.
sorry about the confusion.
Its a coincidence, on so many levels, that I would decide to go to FF and just read one post and I chose this one...
I dont understand the "its just a play of light and shadow" analysis. When you look in a mirror at yourself, what is the reflection you see but a "play of light and shadow"? There is nothing there to touch, except a pane of glass, yet there is *something* there, isnt there? A reflection. What you captured on film is a reflection of another world that lives among us, its there all the time though we dont usually see it.

If I were to draw a picture of bigfoot on a piece of paper, the image you see could be regarded as a reflection of light and shadow, but that of course doesn't make it an otherworldly being. I think that is what he means by light and shadow-- that it may just be the leaves, branches, sky, etc. arranged in a certain way as to appear like a face, just as clouds in the sky might be said to take on certain shapes.
Faedrea, what I ment is what zeppo said, that it may be a trick of lighting...however...
I am also quite open to other possibilities, that is why I posted it here. I have seen a couple of things in my life that give me pause, and cause me to t be entirely open to the idea of another world, dimension, whatever you wish to call it.
Did I capture something of that world on film? Who knows, but it is interesting all the same, and if it is just a trick of light, it is a mighty fine trick..
