Get a load of this!

Coast to Coast AM news today.............

Carbon being sucked out of the air to make fuel. Well, someday anyway!

Washington state plans to put this up to it's voters: A carbon pollution fee of $15! So that must be a price on it's state's commercial industry to pay per ton. This STILL PC day and age I can see that passing into law with flying colors! Their farmers and citizens are next.

A quote from the article: "A carbon price is a cost applied to industries that emit carbon pollution. British Columbia has a carbon price of C$35 a ton, and all of Canada will have a $10 price in September that will rise to $50 in 2022. No U.S. state has joined in yet, but Washington State may be the first to charge a $15 carbon pollution fee if a new ballot measure passes. The U.S. is facing climate and air pollution costs reaching at least $360 billion annually, according to a 2017 report."

Since it's from the National Geographic it must be real cc news? "Not so fast Mr. Grosvenor!" :P

Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor headed up the mag many moons ago.

:fortune: Our cc future is inside that crystal ball. So lube up your billfolds, purses, and make lots of money. One US president on the conservative's side saying cc is a $cam is good for now. We cc payer$ will wait patiently knowing some day there'll be one that's not!

Find the Money. Who is funding this elaborate hoax, but we have so many questionable things going on??! Soros is being funded by someone , could it be the Catholic Church? The "Church" was quietly helpful to Hitler during the war. But, the Nazis where also helped by Henry Ford of Ford Motors and the Bushes on and on. Lots of hidden "players" in the "Swamp of Human Demise" a lot of them hidden in plain sight, then we have the current crop, like Micosoft's Bill Gates , new money joining old money, not just for more money but for Power it's self. The "Swamp" is very deep and they are very nervous .

Is his civilization's end warning if we don't cast out the Great Satan Carbon proof the Pope is a premier paragon of moral virtue? I think not. Fact is, it's just the opposite.

Contrary to the opinion of advocates, a choke hold applied on fossil fuels is no free lunch: Modern-day civilization depends on abundant energy - To do the heavy lifting, some reliable source is needed and "green" alternatives just don't cut it.

At least in the Stone Age you could gather wood & start a fire for heat in winter with no worry about having enough carbon credits. Fight global warming, freeze to death? That's Francis' "civilization". He doesn't believe in Hell so he'll make one on Earth!!

Re: Ancient African Baobab Tree Die Off!

Post by Malaria_Kidd II » 06-11-2018 08:56 PM

 That's it; may have fallen victim to climate change, the team speculated?

Does anyone else wan'na offer up another guess?

To give any tree a fighting chance to ward off diseases. The right amount of fertilizer helps in it's time of need. Think fast! When's the last time you fertilized your favorite home grown, beloved shade trees? :reader:

Paris (AFP) - Some of Africa's oldest and biggest baobab trees -- a few dating all the way back to the ancient Greeks -- have abruptly died, wholly or in part, in the past decade, researchers said Monday.

The trees, aged between 1,100 and 2,500 years and some as wide as a bus is long, may have fallen victim to climate change, the team speculated.

Well! I'll be dogged! What malady in the life cycle of any future failing plants will they blame it on next? CC? That man caused climate disaster makes it an easy target for being the scapegoat, eh?

Stay tuned to PBS, Nature , National Geographic, they will inform you when you are underwater.

Delingpole: Shock! Antarctica Still Doing Just Great

This has been the global warming scare story of the week, heavily promoted by the usual suspects, including Time, CBS, the Washington Post, the Guardian, the New York Times and, inevitably, the BBC

Snippets:

As Paul Homewood notes:

"Despite the apocalyptic headline, ice loss has only been contributing about 0.3mm a year to sea level rise, about an inch per century. Given that sea levels have been rising at around 8 inches a century since the 19thC, there is no evidence that this is not a long term phenomenon we are seeing."

"In reality, measurements of ice mass are not exact and are subject to huge margins of error."

Too Hot For Humans?

Post by Riddick » 06-16-2018 01:57 AM

Wow. Who'da thot it was possible to be too alarmist even for fellow true believers? --

Image
"The Uninhabitable Earth" -
If your anxiety about global warming is dominated by fears of sea-level rise, you are barely scratching the surface of what terrors are possible, even within the lifetime of a teenager today.

Famine, economic collapse, a sun that cooks us: What climate change could wreak — sooner than you think.

It is unlikely that all of these warming scenarios will be fully realized, largely because the devastation along the way will shake our complacency. But those scenarios, and not the present climate, are the baseline. In fact, they are our schedule. FULL STORY

Did New York Magazine Make Its Climate Change Story Too Scary?

David Wallace-Wells consults a great deal of published research and many climate researchers to construct his climate worst-case scenario, "The Uninhabitable Earth", for New York Magazine.

Climate change is, well, a very complicated and touchy issue. So it's not surprising reactions to Wallace-Wells' story were not 100% positive. Somewhat surprisingly, however, detractors of the piece are not an army of climate change deniers, but rather climate experts and reporters.

Critics say such utter doom-and-gloom is unpersuasive and discouraging. While one could argue that painting a worst-case scenario might spur people into action, climate researchers find Wallace-Wells' doomsaying to be unproductive in the herculean effort to get the populace on board with mitigating climate change.

So, is Wallace-Wells depiction of Earth at the end of the century unrealistic? Probably. Will it hinder a broader effort to curb the freight train of climate change? Well, that all depends on how you might react to an impending apocalypse. And only you can answer that. FULL STORY
