Sorry I'm late to read your link before Christmas and I'm surprised another FF member wasn't here writing their note before mine! 
It sure was a different take on that famous song that surely did not originate from Contsantine's old 336 AD Rome that set that day in stone on THEIR revived pagan calendar!
Your find would make 12 funny consecutive days for a pre-Christmas time reality show!
NOT.......... I have to add there were 300 years of Christian persecution in that damned Colosseum of Rome! Then the damned Romans got to set the date for one of Christiandom's most cherished dates 
What WAS wrong with that picture? 
Their lead water pipes tech came much later to put the final death blows to their 300 year reign!
