According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, older drivers have higher rates of fatal crashes, based on miles driven, than any other group except young drivers. All I can say is they don't deal with the soccer moms every day like I've been doing the last few years. I drive 15 or so MPH ...

I'm pretty sure the California high speed boondoggle is going to end up that way. Lots of useless infrastructure, a few miles of track and no train.

Just read in the local paper that the first 28 miles of track has a bid for just under $1 billion. Of course they say at the end of the story that does not include moving 2 1/2 miles of freeway,etc. etc.
